So Asian companies such as HIS, ASUS and a whole lot more is not as good as american companies?

HI there

Well look for yourself. Asus support for anything other than monitors, laptops and server products is pretty damn poor. They refuse to deal with customers directly and their RMA turnaround time for faulty products can be very slow, one of the good reasons why we don't sell their high-end VGA products.

HIS have no UK call centre, no UK email, clearly not as good as the likes of BFG or EVGA for instance.
However company like HIS however does go a long way to supporting the vendor, or at least ourselves. All returned items are all immediately credited which gives us the ability to swap customers cards out quickly. :)

*Furiously clicks smiley.* Nope, not a link. :(

So... C'mon Gibbo, what's the big secret? :(

Hi m8

The arguments, the petty bickering from a few is pointless. I'd just preferre to sit back and leave it be. Afterall better things to do like enjoy the weather, have a few drinks then argue on a forum when everything that needs to be said has already been said. Basically I got better things to do.

Thanks to yourself though for pointing out and quoting several of my post in that other thread which was closed by a DON and then to which I posted about the weather in. :)

Needless to say I have said what needs to be said regarding that subject and anybody who wants to know then just use the search facility.

Booooo!! :( I thought you were in some unusual good mood, which I've noticed usually means OcUK has gotten their hands on something new or you're messing around overclocking something new. :(

Only when the weather is nice though :p

Hi there

It certainly helps. When its wet and having over 500BHP under your right foot that you cannot use is upsetting. However this dry weather, well lets just say fun time. :D

Thanks everyone for your replies.

A nice colourful and informative read :) (not being sarky!!!!)

The thing about the overclocking, I'd have no problem admitting that here if it was due to that. But I'm pretty sure it was caused by lightning as I turned off me PC one day, turned it on in the morning and nothing on screen. Didn't have the bits and bobs to test individually so was forced to give it to PCWorld for them to have a look.

Anyway, I will take what you peeps have said and see what the company says, at the end of the day if they won't play ball it doesn't really matter, would just have preferred it.

Again thanx very much, and also thanks for not giving the old...."your fault....etc" thing. Nice to be surprised :)

RMA it, i wouldn't worry about XFX problems as as far as im aware its only these guys that have stopped selling them due to getting a poor service with RMA's etc... everyone else is fine with them. :)

From what Gibbo has said, it's more a case of everyone else being more tolerant of their policy. :p

I don't want to dig this up again though. :)

Gibbo is the most 'chilled' guy on OcUK tbh  :p

I have nothing of value to add to the thread, just have always thought this, so thought i'd mention it :D
