Picked up a 60GB OCZ Core series V2 recently , and whilst I appreciate it's not the best SSD It only cost me £80 so I'm not to bothered.
Now I've been trying to install a windows based OS on the damn thing and none of them will detect the SSD.Tired turning off/on various drive options in the BIOS - IDE, AHCI etc but still no luck. Also tried the SSD on a laptop and again no joy. The funny thing is that the drive is detected and usuable through an external SATA caddy as mass storage.

Now I've browsed the OCZ forums and tried a few options/suggestions but nothing working. I will get round to trying a Gentoo minimal disc soon and see if the drive is detected under Linux, but in the meantime I wonder if anyone has any experience or ideas with this problem.

Cheers in advance..

Don't faff with trying to make it work. RMA it and ask for a refund. Then wait a week and get a far superior drive, maybe an Intel/Crucial (if the Crucials are any good) for £120ish.
You will be happier with it..
