lil' jon, Ja rule, young money, lmfao, pitbull...
You only get a pass for mentioning BustaThe rest really should see you suspended at the least...
If I was having a bad day I'd even go as far as banning him.

Just because I pick artists I liked (that is the idea of fav artist) instead of trying to look 'cool' by picking obscure or predictable artists I get these responses... Yep typical rap listenersIf I was having a bad day I'd even go as far as banning him.

versus completely random lyrics of other rappers or boasting about gangs/being rich/women attributes....90% of current manstream music takes samples from old music, rap and hip hop have been doing this for decades. If you judge a song based on that one element you rule out 90% of the genreCome on dude, Pitbull? I'm honestly struggling to think of a more awful 'artist'. All he seems to do is say his name at the start of other people's tracks and then come up with some utterly shocking lyrics to ruin it further.
Don't mind eminem when he either does his 'micky take' songs or has a female singer with him, the 2 rihanna duets work really well for example.
Enjoy the stupidity of lmfao (they split due to creative differences) or as it is now red foo, the other one went in another direction which didn't really work.
I can listen to lil jon, ja rule and I don't mind young money (made up of loads of individual artists). And how can I forget busta rhymes.
However we all seem to be forgetting some of the best female rappers like missy elliott, don't think I've heard a song from her that I didn't like....
edit: can we include like jason derulo and pitbull?... I don't mind them either

Like I said you said favourite rap/hip hop artists and I lisen to what I like, not what other people say is good, I make my own mind up, besides if I had a choice of what to listen to rap would not be my first choice.
oh and it's funny that you haven't said your fav's...
Me not working hard?
Yeah, right, picture that with a Kodak
Or better yet, go to Times Square
Take a picture of me with a Kodak
Took my life from negative to positive
I just want y'all to know that
And tonight, let's enjoy life
Pitbull, Nayer, Ne-yo, Tesra
Tonight I want all of you tonight
Give me everything tonight
For all we know we might might not get tomorrow
Let's do it tonight
Don't care what they say
All the games, they play
Nothing is enough
Till they handle love
(Let's do it tonight)
I want you tonight
I want you to stay
I want you tonight
Grab somebody sexy, tell 'em hey
Give me everything tonight
Give me everything tonight
Give me everything tonight
Give me everything tonight
Get busy tonight
'Cause tomorrow I'm off to Dubai to perform for a princess
But tonight, I can make you my queen
And make love to you endless
It's insane to wait and they ain't growin' money
Keep flowin', hustlers move beside us
So I'm tip-toeing to keep blowing
I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan
Put it on my lap, baby
I make you feel right, baby
Can't promise tomorrow
But I'll promise tonight
Excuse me but I might drink a little more than I should tonight
And I might take you home with me if I could tonight
And baby, I'ma make you feel so good tonight
'Cause we might not get tomorrow
Tonight I want all of you tonight
Give me everything tonight
For all we know we might not get tomorrow
Let's do it tonight
Don't care what they say
All the games, they play
Nothing is enough

I want you tonight
I want you to stay
I want you tonight
Grab somebody sexy, tell 'em hey
Give me everything tonight
Give me everything tonight
Give me everything tonight
Give me everything tonight
Reach for the stars
And if you don't grab them, at least you're on top of the world
Think about it
'Cause if you slip, I'm gonna fall on top of your girl
When I'm involved, it goes deeper than them aces
Baby, baby, and it ain't no secret
My family is from Cuba, but I'm an American Idol
Gettin' money like Seacrest
Put it on my light, baby
I make you feel right, baby
Can't promise tomorrow
But I'll promise tonight
Excuse me but I might drink a little more than I should tonight
And I might take you home with me if I could tonight
And baby, I'ma make you feel so good tonight

The new age is upon us
And yet the past refuses to rest in its shallow grave
For those who hide behind the false image of the son of man
shall stand before God!!! It has begun
The beginning of the end
Yeah..
Yeah... yeah, yeah
[Verse 1]
The voice of racism preaching the gospel is devilish
A fake church called the prophet Muhammad a terrorist
Forgetting God is not a religion, but a spiritual bond
And Jesus is the most quoted prophet in the Qu'ran
They bombed innocent people, tryin' to murder Saddam
When you gave him those chemical weapons to go to war with Iran
This is the information that they hold back from Peter Jennings
Cause Condoleeza Rice is just a new age Sally Hemmings
I break it down with critical language and spiritual anguish
The Judas I hang with, the guilt of betraying Christ
You murdered and stole his religion, and painting him white
Translated in psychologically tainted philosophy
Conservative political right wing, ideology
Glued together sloppily, the blasphemy of a nation
Got my back to the wall, cause I'm facin' assassination
Guantanamo Bay, federal incarceration
How could this be, the land of the free, home of the brave?
Indigenous holocaust, and the home of the slaves
Corporate America, dancin' offbeat to the rhythm
You really think this country, never sponsored terrorism?
Human rights violations, we continue the saga
El Savador and the contras in Nicaragua
And on top of that, you still wanna take me to prison
Just cause I won't trade humanity for patriotism
[Hook]
It's like MK-ULTRA, controlling your brain
Suggestive thinking, causing your perspective to change
They wanna rearrange the whole point of view of the ghetto
The fourth branch of the government, want us to settle
A bandana full of glittering, generality
Fighting for freedom and fighting terror, but what's reality?
Read about the history of the place that we live in
And stop letting corporate news tell lies to your children
[Verse 2]
Flow like the blood of Abraham through the Jews and the Arabs
Broken apart like a woman's heart, abused in a marriage
The brink of holy war, bottled up, like a miscarriage
Embedded correspondents don't tell the source of the tension
And they refuse to even mention, European intervention
Or the massacres in Jenin, the innocent screams
U.S. manufactured missles, and M-16's
Weapon contracts and corrupted American dreams
Media censorship, blocking out the video screens
A continent of oil kingdoms, bought for a bargain
Democracy is just a word, when the people are starvin'
The average citizen, made to be, blind to the reason
A desert full of genocide, where the bodies are freezin'
And the world doesn't believe that you fightin' for freedom
Cause you ****ed the Middle East, and gave birth to a demon
It's open season with the CIA, bugging my crib
Trapped in a ghetto region like a Palestinian kid
Where nobody gives a **** whether you die or you live
I'm tryin' to give the truth, and I know the price is my life
But when I'm gone they'll sing a song about Immortal Technique
Who beheaded the President, and the princes and sheiks
You don't give a **** about us, I can see through your facade
Like a fallen angel standing in the presence of God
Bitch *****z scared of the truth, when it looks at you hard
[Hook]
It's like MK-ULTRA, controlling your brain
Suggestive thinking, causing your perspective to change
They wanna rearrange the whole point of view in the ghetto
The fourth branch of the government, want us to settle
A bandana full of glittering, generality
Fighting for freedom and fighting terror, but what's reality?
Martial law is coming soon to the hood, to kill you
While you hanging your flag out your project window
[Talking]
Yeah..
The fourth branch of the government AKA the media
Seems to now have a retirement plan for ex-military officials
As if their opinion was at all unbiased
A machine shouldn't speak for men
So shut the **** up you mindless drone!
And you know it's serious
When these same media outfits are spending millions of dollars on a PR campaign
To try to convince you they're fair and balanced
When they're some of the most ignorant, and racist people
Giving that type of mentality a safe haven
We act like we share in the spoils of war that they do
We die in wars, we don't get the contracts to make money off 'em afterwards!
We don't get weapons contracts, *****!
We don't get cheap labor for our companies, *****!
We are cheap labor, *****!
Turn off the news and read, *****!
Read... read... read...
ODB
why? because even though he was probably no greater than the other rap greats he was 'the realest' of them . never pretended to be that someone else who people wanted him to be.
theres a fair few rappers i find technically or lyrically better but none of them have what ODB had.
