They look the same, just a damn sight smoother as far as I can tell.
Hence you can push the settings up even higher

I don't know about that. At 1600x1200 AAx2 and AFx16 with all other settings at maximum it crawls when I get to the section with all the blood and invisible creatures. F.E.A.R. never did this with the same settings.

It is running far worse at the same settings I was using before. I played about 15 mins and quit due performance and the same old boring office level design.

my framerate was about 14 standing there until i moved, then it went up to over 40

Just completed it now, was short but sweet. Ran fine on my PC and looked as good as ever. There were some good jumpy bits in there like in the air duct when she strafes in front of you lol.

Yes that is the point where my fps goes down to around 10fps!!! Seems like 1600 x 1200 is not playable for me at that point. Hopefully the rest of the game will be ok.
