US: Fear the Walking Dead

Ep 10. The writing and acting was especially bad in this episode - it's like no one cares anymore, as a viewer i'm feeling that way too.

Just ridiculous the amount of double crossing and backstabbing that leads to a silly chase. And then the Alicia fan club - if they cared that much about the character, why did they write her out of her own show by making it all about Morgan, forgetting the main characters for many seasons.

IMDB says final 2 episodes are next week and thankfully we can put this show to bed.

Just restarted this for completion sakes, having watched up to Series 7 Part 1.

First 2 episodes of part 2 and I can see its going to be a slog, it's just got so bad.

lol i was under the impression i had already finished this.. :/ Will have to check when i get home.
We're up to S8 Ep 10, with the final 2 episodes airing this Sunday - and then FTWD is finally concluded. I have just read this and can empathise with every point:

  • I Am Truly Astonished That AMC Greenlit Season 8 Of ‘Fear The Walking Dead’

  • The continued constant use of magical walkie-talkies that can reach anyone anywhere at anytime and can be used to track someone’s location with perfect accuracy.

  • An endless parade of Mexican standoffs in which one group of heavily armed survivors walks up to another group of heavily armed survivors to engage in exposition-laden dialogue (often interrupted by a third group of heavily armed survivors popping up out of nowhere).

  • Constant “just in the nick of time” coincidences when a character will show up at the right time and location to either A) save someone or B) put someone in a tight spot. This often, but not always, occurs during a Mexican standoff.

  • Daniel’s mental decay is gone, miraculously. Madison needs oxygen, but only when the plot demands it.

  • Alicia has now become a sort of Zombie Jesus folk hero, spoken of by all and sundry as though she’s the second coming of Laurent. Despite appearing to die at the end of Season 7, or at least being on death’s door, she spent the intervening years saving puppies, curing cancer and doing various other good deeds to make up for all the bad things she’s done.

I remember the stuff happening with the kids rebelling and they went off on some ship somewhere and honestly thought that was the end of it.. (cwl) I wondered how they hadnt resolved the Alicia stuff but just put it down to.. Oh well probably something the writers just thought they could have gotten away with killing her off screen.

I will grab the last few episodes to have a laugh at by the sound of it.

Are people paying to watch this?

It was garbage for a while and I can’t bring myself to pay for it on prime. One of those shows I’ll watch once it’s free, it’s taken up enough of my time.

Ep 11 of 12 watched.

Was an ok episode, but still lots of "we've got you!", "Ah, no we've got YOU!" moments - and the magic radios.

Last episode to watch later.

Well I have caught up but have the last 2 episodes to watch… but, boy is it terrible.

Don’t they have sniper rifles and someone competent to shoot? Surely taking out Troy would leave their group safe as it’s just his vendetta that is causing them to look for the island. Get Mr “oh I just got better from dementia” Daniel to do it and he has the reason to do it.

I get that writing can't always be good because how else can you get drama without a little illogical attitudes.

But this is utter garbage.
Watching the last episode now, thank god.

I thought the walking dead got bad, but it's not even close to this.

Tell me if it's worth even watching please. Tried to but turned off episode 8 20 mins in.

Finished the last episode! Wasn't great, but a decent episode with a fitting ending - one very cheese moment which i saw coming a mile off.

Happy it finished the way it did - wonder if we'll get spin offs like TWD has done - hope not!
