I can't remember what paper it was but there was an article on how Rodgers should probably read the book before commenting as Fergie was actually very complimentary about Gerrard and the 'top, top player' part was Fergie saying how Gerrard and Lampard don't work together and Carrick should have played more for England.
He said I'm one of the few who doesn't think Gerrard is a top top player regardless, also the fact he took the time to even put hendos running style into his book is hilarious

Yes I was reading an appraisal of the book in yesterdays times and it seems he's just axe grinding. As they say in the Times article barely a mention of his fallout with the old owners over stud rights and when asked refused to talk about it in a press conference. Also no mention of Hughes either apparently but more than happy to grind the axe against big names that the media can spin nicely.
