Ferrari Luce EV

Ugly child of an Austin Princess, Citreon BX and a Dasun Sunny three way. They even gave it the 1980s satantic wheel option..
Still looks more like a Ferrrari than the Luce though :)

This looks a million times better, and is only 60k

Each to their own, but I don't think that looks better - and certainly don't think it "looks great" (as per the article)

Top Gear's youtube channel put out a video at the press launch, filmed by Jason Barlow who appears not to subscribe to the same views as the internet that this car should be set fire to as an abomination.

The comments section was full of hate for top gear, citing lack of journalist integrity, being paid off by ferrari etc.... and they go and publish another video. Also from Jason Barlow, also in a similar vein of heaping praise on the car calling it "the best interior of any car ever" and calling its 0.25 CFD "impressively low"

Is this just ragebait ?

He doesn’t want Top Gear to be denied access to future Ferrari cars I am guessing. Not willing to go full Chris Harris and cheese Ferrari off.

Maybe they just like the car and think it's good?

I wouldn't be surprised to see other journalists/reviewers end up putting out "You know what, this is actually really good" style videos once they drive it rather than just look at it.

As I posted above, I quite like the car.

I get the whole ‘it’s not a Ferrari’ crowd but the same crowd said the Urus isn’t a Lambo and yet that sells more units than all other Lambo’s combined (and it’s a plug in hybrid these days…)

The more I see it the more it grows on me TBH. I've seen so many cars that I think look amazing that then disappoint in the metal, I think this may be the opposite. Maybe I'll see one at a show in the future to confirm that hypothesis!

Even the interior, which I instantly took a dislike to, has grown on me seeing it in the video as opposed to the renders on the website.

People in have different opinions of thing shocker.

I'm baffled by his praise for that interior. It's... fine? But really, really dull. Sometimes things are a bit different in the flesh and it does look like it's high quality, so perhaps sitting in it is different. But I think this is more of a personal preference thing. I've never been particularly impressed by Apple's styling either.

It doesn't seem a particular surprise that it drives pretty well.

I've not been paying too much attention to the Luce, but having now seen some of the coverage, am I the only one who kind of likes it?

The only thing that seems a bit off is the price, not that I can afford one anyway. If it was 'starting at' £250k (so more like £300k+ for the one the multi-millionaires actually buy) I could see a decent market for it, not dissimilar to the Urus (PHEV now...) etc.
I quite like it. If I was a millionaire knob living in Mayfair and wanted an EV to sit in London traffic in, I’d buy one.

I don't particularly like either the exterior or interior. Those saying it's an amazing interior, I just don't get it. The main instrument binnacle looks like it's stuck in someone's lunchbox, then there's an iPad that's been stuck on an arm, which looks silly and like an afterthought. Compare this to a modern McLaren, Lamborghini, Audi or BMW interior and I think it's laughable.
