But given that this car is a drive ornament as you can't drive it, surely good looks > sound, and a big drainpipe looks stupid on a car designed for twins.

I personally prefer the look of 2 exits, my car was made with 2 and looks abit odd with only one.

End of the day its your car and do what you want.

I always thought a standard 300ZX had 2 x twin exit exhausts, so 4 sticking out the back
Most I see these days have 2 singles - 1 each side - and sound great

Yes, the stock exhausts have 4 pea-shooter outlets, and is very quiet. My current exhausts have a single 3.5" on each side, these however have suffered from speed bumps and are rusting and falling apart (only cost £25 what can you expect ).

Oh yeah, and that one took ages, however i'm doing the same to another one next weekend and I have the 2 days to do it. I reckon I can do it in a day fairly comfortably now I know what im doing.
