Fez 2 cancelled

Fez looked like an interesting game but I find fish intolerable, he was very irritating throughout the indie game movie (however most of them were) and he was continually bashing PC gaming, yet a year later Fez in out on PC. He seems to always overreact on twitter hurling unnecessary abuse and now he's gone and canceled the game. Good riddance I say we have enough people like this already. I want someone who's going to stick to there guns, be engaging and generally have acceptance of the other gaming platforms and the industry as a whole. The fact that he's canceled a game because of what someone said says a lot about his character.

Phil Fish is a bit of a bell and can dish plenty out, can't seem to handle much in return. Oh well, at least we won't have to hear about one of his moments once a month

If Fish is going to be as vocal as he is about things then he needs to grow a bit of a back bone and expect some flak, jesus grow a pair man.

There are plenty more fish in the indie game development sea. ;)

He wont be missed by a lot of people...I'm sure.

Yes, it was great what with:

  • all the meme jokes LEL
  • breaking the forth wall with the QR codes.
  • The non existent challenge and zero punishment for falling off ledges - thanks for the teleport game!
  • heavily bugged on release.
  • Pretentious visuals and sound style

What's pretentious about it? It was clearly going after an 8-bit style as many other indie games have over the last few years. The 3D element was actually quite refreshing in that respect, rather than just being yet another 2D pixel art game.

There's too many colours for it to emulate 8-bit. I remember older consoles, some of those games were beautiful and pushed the hardware to it's limits. I don't object to this style when it's done well, such as Cavestory or Owlboy, but Fez is just sterile, pretentous pixel art garbage.

Everyone is a game critic it seems, even those who know **** all about them.

I am guilty of the above, but never portray my opinion to be anything more.

Don't see it as any different than providing manual saves/quick saves/auto saves like you can in Skyrim tbh.
You see the removal of challenge as the equivalent of quick saves?

I have a great idea of a game, let's rotate the camera until we get the thing and as we want to make this game for babies we must remove all penalty for mistakes made.

ROFL HAHAHAHAHAHA.

You do have no idea what you are talking about. Nice one.

Blow and Fish know more about game development then you do.

I will listen to them, thanks.

I just described Fez, I know exactly what I'm talking about.

You seem to be getting butthurt, yet show no critical thought or refute into why i'm wrong. But please keep throwing insults and blindly following Fishing though, it's hilarious.

Fun fact: Fez was inspired by Cave story, a Japanese game!

And actually yes I do have a pretty good idea about game design. I have a book filled with ideas and game mechanics which I have written myself and been able to throw pages away because after in depth examination of some of these idea they wouldn't work or would make for a dull experience ;)
