FFX / X2 on steam

Considering FFX HD for pS4 is £30-40 and £40 for the psn download, £20 is a bargain imo, I would have bought it regardless of price, it's one of my all time favourites which I still go back and replay, still got my original PS2 version.

X-2 is definitely worth playing - a lot of good content, as long as you can get past the slightly cringey charlie's angels theme they go for in parts of it. The 100 level dungeon in Bevelle was a dick ;D

It'll be interesting to see what version it is. The PS4 remaster had some further enhancements over the PS3 release, with better textures, extra geometry and ambient occlusion added, so hopefully it'll be that one. A lot of cross-gen ports that've turned up on PC have been the last-gen versions though, presumably to keep minimum specs down and maximise potential sales.

Well recommended specs are rather weak, equivalent to a Q6600 by the looks of it and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 450 / AMD Radeon HD 5750.

But saying that, I couldn't imagine the ps4 version being that demanding, most of the scenery is stationary and the nicer looking parts are just FMVs. The PS3 did suffer fps lag when using ifrits overdrive and the like.

Wonder if I would be able to transfer my ps4 data to steam version? As it uses its own cloud based system for FFX I think

Just watched some of the stream Square did earlier, There's no option to upload PS3/4/vita saves :(

Also FMVs can be skipped, not in game cutscenes, so you all will enjoy the Titus laughter scene whether you like it or not :D

Also a good amount of Video options to change once you're in the game.

Option to hide the HUD in the "boosters" screen which is called "Special Features" There's 5 and they use the Function keys, IE F1, F2 ETC.

They also say the game is 30fps, even though there's an option to turn Vsync off.

I also believe it's going to be similar to the PS4 version, since watching the live stream you had the choice to choose between the old music and the new "arranged" version, from what I remember the PS3 didn't have that option, unless they changed it in an update.

Just remembered someone quizzing what version of the game PC might get.

Plus with the options to change quality settings, AA, shadows and more it's most likely PS4 version.

Not long to wait anyway.

Used to spend hours and hours on these two games back in the day but doubt i have the patience to play them now.

final fantasy became boring after these two games didn't it? if they made a ff8 remake in hd id buy it

It definitely with be the PS4 version, wouldn't make sense to use the PS3 version when the have the HD textures from an x86 console version.
