Assuming you didn't bother to get the wet belt replaced? My fiesta (had since new) has finally shredded itself at 150k miles.
What's your budget? Might be other 7 seaters worthy of considerationGoing to potentially look at a second hand cmax 7 seater.
1.6 Duratec Ti-VCT 123hp would be the only petrol I'd consider if you want reliability. The rest of the petrol engines are all Ecoboost with various issues (majority of 1.0 will be wet belt, 1.5/1.6 have had coolant leak issues). Not sure if Diesel is an option for your use case (and tbh don't know what issues they have)Any particular engine I should go for? Possibly want an auto too
nothing wrong with powershift boxes providing they have been serviced on time around 40k for oil and external filter. as regards c maxs we love ours 1.5tdci auto.1. Have you considered joining the compensation groups online? I think there are some facebook groups. Some people have had success claiming from Ford, but if it's 150K I doubt it's covered.
2. Don't buy a Ford with their powershift auto gearboxes. They also have design fails and go wrong, costing thousands.

CursesThere's a lot wrong with them. They have a design flaw and go wrong regularly for people even following service schedules. They are as bad as the wet belts. Having owned a Ford Smax for nearly 10 years and being a member of Facebook groups, there are absolutely 100s of posts over the years from new joiners that ask about power shift problems.
Budget id say 10k or lower. I’d always discounted diesel…but maybe I’m wrong?Assuming you didn't bother to get the wet belt replaced?

BMW 2 series Grand Tourer.Budget id say 10k or lower.
Depends on what annual mileage and what sort of journeys you do?I’d always discounted diesel…but maybe I’m wrong?

look at the weight of s max/galaxys. were talking about c max. also those 100s i expect were all fully serviced?.There's a lot wrong with them. I wouldn't have thought so. A quick look suggests no common expensive problems, and the engine and gearbox are used in countless BMW's and Minis.Hmm, some nice 2 series but are they insanely expensive for repair etc?
Looks decent enough - I still think these are one of the nicer 7 seaters available.Like the look of this:
