fiesta st

Nasty horrible cars!!!! I truly hope that the ST is an order of magnitude better than the standard car!

I currently am suffering with a 1.4 Fiesta for driving tuition while my Mini Cooper gets a new rear bumper after a moron drove into the back of us while we were stationary at a roundabout.

I can honestly say I have never driven a Fiesta that I liked yet!

The seats are dire, the car wallows around the road, the steerings vague and the general feel of the car is poor.

Cant see how it can be so bad when the Focus and Mondeo are so good.

On the plus side it has a heated front window.....

Still I hope you enjoy yours as if we were all the same its would be a boring world.

I pulled out of the gym last night and braked while turning, when i braked though the car didnt continued to turn to the left until i stopped braking, im not sure what this is but it scared the bejesus out of me, should i not be braking and turning? (i know you dont usually brake while turning, but it was still not a nice experience).

Get all your braking done then turn.

Interesting opinion. I have driven nearly all MK1 through to the current MK6 face lift and i must say the Fiesta is one of the best small cars about. I think i'm in the majority with that. But hey it ain't everyones cup of tea and i'm not saying your opinion is 'wrong' in any way. But don't let your opinion stop you having a go in an ST - great fun for short journeys, too harsh in my opinion for any substantial drive.

I dunno why i ended up doing it, that was the weird thing.

If you brake hard and the abs kicks in then you will be able to steer better - but thats is obviously emergency type situation. In regular driving (and if you are giving it some) you shoud get all your braking done then turn in, much safer and more predictable outcome ;)
