Fiesta ST?

I would recommend going for an induction kit (K&N 57i is probably the best value for money kit on the market) and a bigger bore flexi pipe for the exhaust on the ST, both of which are included in that Pumaspeed 160 kit mentioned above - made such a significant differenceto the car, far beyond what one would usually expect these types of mods.

The standard induction system is incredibly restrictive, and the flexi section on the exhaust just down from the manifold/downpipe is 42mm as standard...the rest of the exhaust system is around 60mm so it really does free it up nicely! After changing my cars induction and putting a miltek flexi pipe in, it feels more eager, revving more easily, and pulling away smoothly is easier as well.

For the cost involved I'd say its well worth it...I won't make any claims for power gain but it does drive a lot better.

Thanks, this looks very interesting as well. It looks like its a choice between the Pumaspeed or Mountune then. Have you noticed and change in fuel consumption since you had it done?

Fuel consumption is actually slightly improved for my ST after the mods, though only very slightly (maybe better by 2-3mpg according to the trip computer...thats comparing averages over 600 miles or so 'before and after', its often that long before I choose to reset the trip computer).

I have the mountune induction setup, its decent but not sure if its worth the extra money over the K&N really, it still seems to get some heat soak and is not a sealed box so isn't really a true 'cold air' system...

However if you are considering upgrading to the full Mountune package (the 165, 185 or the new stage 3 kit when they release it) at a later date, I'd advise you to get the mountune CAIS kit as they will then knock £150 off the package price as you already have the necessary induction setup (this discount only applies at Mountune HQ though, Mountune approved Ford dealers are less kind!).

I will avoid talking to you about the benefits of Bilstein suspension for now :D you can go mad on mods for these! The best value ones by far are the induction and flexi though :)

EDIT: Another cheap cheap mod that is very worth doing are these...

Moves the rear hubs out by 12.5mm, so an inch wider track (they also do 10mm or 20.5mm ones depending on how far you want to go, these spacers are essentially the same design/type used by Ford in increase the rear track on the Puma Racing). Aesthetically it helps lots as the rear wheels sit further out, filling the arches better, but it also feels much more stable when corerning...
