Fifa 08 This Friday PS3

Ordered the 360 version after playing the PS3 version ironically...Only because i'm not sure i'm gonna keep my PS3....The lack of games now is getting beyond a joke :(

Can't wait for a footie game.....Only real demo gripe i had was the player selection still seems a little unresponsive at times.

Joypad given Fifa 08 8/10 and PES 08 7/10

"In brief, even if we realize that Konami's game maintains all of it's essential qualities this year, it seems necessary to underline the fact that it settles for the bare minimum. The series have reached the end of a path, where it will need to look for new possibilities and a clean, precise break from it's PS2 past. It needs to reflect a new way to explore the looks, playability and content that the newest technologies can provide.

Exactly my feelings highlighted :)

As for IGN they have given Fifa 7.7 the article has unfair criticism about dates of when games are played in manager mode this has been proven wrong. But after posting false info i cant really take the article with that much credibility im afraid.

IGN

FA Cup, which in the world of FIFA 08 has Premier League teams in the Second Round and a final played in September.

Fifa Soccer Blog part of review of 08

At this point I'd like to mention one of the first reviews published on the internet of FIFA 08 stated that English cup matches were held on incorrect dates through the year. I was shocked when I read this because it's simply not true; for a Premiership team the league cup starts in September, the F.A. Cup starts in January and the F.A. Cup final is the last game in May, exactly as in real life (and it's correct for all the teams from the lower-leagues as well). What has caused this mistake I have no idea, but thankfully I can assure you that it's not true.

You might say its Fifa Soccer blog they are covering up but we shall see in the full game which i cant wait for now. :)

Just watched gamerTV I recorded at the weekend, says its hard to do the various skills/tricks they've re-introduced when actually playing a game .

But the tricks look good when they were showing them off having a practice with Ronaldinho, some step overs and flicks :D

Will 24hr supermarkets have this on sale at midnight Thursday? I know the other high street shops only open up at midnight for titles like Halo & GTA.

It's not that it is hard to do them in game, it is just that most of the time they result in getting tackled. For me at least.
