***FIFA 10 - PS3 10v10 Clubs***

Im up for it though I guess we should get that SC game out of the way and organised first. Can imagine who plays where and everything will be a bit of a squabble :p

I think we should just assign a person to be captain and they pick a team with positions and everything. Deffo think a team of 5 is perfect (ANY plus 4 statics) - any more always seems manic...

Can I get a list of who thinks they can play on Wednesday night?

Then I'll set up a list.


Only want 5 for this game, the rest will be backups, in a similar style to how the KZ2 clan operated.

ps3ud0, Beenom and James I think have confirmed they should be available.

dont really fancy being a reserve/sub most of the time (being realistic!) so i'll remove myself from the club and try another club cheers anyway :)

If you're organising matches how are you sorting players and positions? Just leaving it to the night or what? Because thats a recipe for chaos and arguments surely?

Im happy to be a reserve tbh if HTK wants to take my place - I play so regularly I doubt Ill miss much with you guys playing a couple of games. I really need to finish Uncharted by Friday anyway...

Ive already not played a 3rd of OcUK matches :p

edit: Hell if I had my way I just want people that have put some effort into getting a decent VP together as utlimately thats what Club has come to due to the changes - its hard to be casual when you need to play your VP as often as you can...

My comments are about how the team is run or how should it be run etc.

Don't worry, like I said earlier its a college night for me, so I probably wont make it for 10, so someone will have to play instead of me anyway,

I will most likely be there a little later than that and if you need me will join in then. If not I'll be training my vp offline. :)
 
So HTK what should we do? Im confused by your point as ultimately looking at games played in 09 and 10 where you are in that list is in the right ball park. Seriously if its in the best interests of the Club I dont have any issue...

If you want to be involved, then by all means be involved, but that means turning up and playing often and regularly. If you cant give us that commitment its very hard to swallow any comments/opinions even if they are with good intentions, no? Hell I dont even think thats the right phrase...

The amount of times weve sent msgs to ppl to play club is too numerous to mention and whenever ppl have turned up for club I know weve been more than obliging to accomodate. I really dont know what else we can do - especially when other clubs are forcing people to play certain positions, or restricting the quality of players that can join etc...

This club is still pretty casual, we do play a lot of games, but I guess its our WOW and with the whole RPG nature of VP unfortunately it appears you (not you specifically) will need more commitment than what we did in 09 - thats something day by day we have realised more and more as we play better teams...

Finally it was my suggestion for 5ppl as in all honesty, its what most of us are used to, but of course thats not a hard fast rule, but one over time weve realised works (cant remember if weve ever won with more than 5 - Id say its very rare) and means a balance where static players can choose a sutiable position and not lumped with a 'crap' one (i.e. CDM or CB) and the any actually has some players to control to ensure they have a useful defence...

I'm saying there is no organisation. Whats the point of organising matches if 10 people want to play but all of a sudden its a 5 player limit? I dont care whether its 5 or 6 just that its not organised. Positions arent sorted out either and the 360 folk are ahead of the PS3 folk there :p

Commitment? Well ive trained up my VP to mostly mid 80s. I think tbh the least i do if i'm playing club is msging fifa people who are online at the time if they wanted to play club *shrug* but thats just me.

Like i said i dont care how its run - if its casual and first come first served basis for replying to a forum thread on the teamsheet to fill the 5 positions then beenom would never get a game :p

The amount of times we have sent msgs to ppl or checked whose online before we ever attempt club is amazing - I would love to give you a transcript of those multitude of conversations - perhaps we havent done it on every occasion or if weve already started its unlikely we will notice new people online - if thats the case I apoligise. Though I can appreciate from the outside it appears like a clique (which it probably is mainly because a few of us are the stalwarts of the team). Your comments on organisation I feel are unfounded - Club will always be whoever turns up and we communicate via the forums, PSN msgs and have a dedicated chatroom. Dont know what else we can do?

IMHO, I dont think Club deserves more of my time to organise it further than what it is (I dont spend any proper time at all in reality - its just has become a habit) and I dont think the majority will appreciate anything too rigid which to them is a casual game to be picked up and played and meant to be relaxing. These are the main reason why we try and rotate player positions to make sure people feel they are contributing rather than feeling they are a spare wheel - Id happily apply positions (or anyone) but I doubt many would want that...

For this particular matchup (which only was organised yesterday) Ive already suggested a way how to do it and my expectation is that it will be sorted before we turn up that evening. I dont know how you made your inference re-reading the forums (especially on who the definite 5 were) :confused:

Im wasnt going to comment on the player limit, that was only a suggestion and as far as Im concern its a far more valid one than expecting all 10 people to turn up on the night, when in a year of FIFA 09 the most we ever have had is 7 and since FIFA 10 started only the first night did we have more than 5 - we would happily accomodate 10, if I seriously thought 10 people would turn up...

Im not at all annoyed at your comments, just feel that they deserved to be addressed...
