Well i go on the chatroom if there is a game later which i usually find out about via the club thread on the forums. Of late theres been a heap of club matches organised outwith forums. e.g. 8th october was on as well as some others organised via forums great thats how its usually done.

Then theres i dno about 15 - 20 club matches played on saturday and sunday?

Bearing in mind poly this is the start of FIFA10 club - so i wouldve thought there would be loads of folk wanting to play club...(not just me btw)

Although i did say ive been getting the psn disconnection issues...i genuinely thought everyone was affected by this so club just wasnt being played *shrug*

For this particular matchup (which only was organised yesterday) Ive already suggested a way how to do it and my expectation is that it will be sorted before we turn up that evening. I dont know how you made your inference re-reading the forums (especially on who the definite 5 were) :confused:

So it kinda gives me the impression that skippi is organising the club. But ofc when i ask questions about it - he totally abandons the idea. He isnt managing or organising anything it seems.

NOTE: I wasnt saying this was a bad thing! So i have no idea why skippi decides he doesnt want to be manager or whatever??


when in a year of FIFA 09 the most we ever have had is 7 and since FIFA 10 started only the first night did we have more than 5 - we would happily accomodate 10, if I seriously thought 10 people would turn up...

At the beginning of fifa09 we had 7 + definitely a few times but yeah i agree it tails off.

I've played a LOT of the pro mode.. I think im skill level 11 now, but I never seem to see you guys online!
 
for some reason my ps3 d/c'ed from the internet, even though all my pc's and other wireless connections kept on running fine, tried reconnecting and it wouldnt have it, so just turned it off there, if you guys are going on tonight for a few games, give me a shout, ive only played 1 v 1's online so far.

i played fifa 09 very regularly, but offline with my mates, never played much BAP, but im pretty good at the normal game. i usually like going a winger, like messi, but can play anywhere really.

anyone encountered problems with unlocking arena stuff, like score a driven free kick, done that and never completed, same with 6 consecutive penalties in the arena, is there a special mode you need to do them in? i just went to practice set piece and used my virtual pro, against 11 defenders

try arena with just your vp - my brother had a problem unlocking some accomplishments and had to delete his fifa profile, which isn't convenient if you've unlocked quite a few

i've just disconnected from psn too so it isn't just you - it's to do with psn/fifa conflicting... something like, if you have >40 friends on psn, then it will randomly disconnect you whilst fifa is running :/

Some others are having the same problem. The penalty one didn't work for me so I continued to score them until it popped up.

Tip: shoot down the middle everytime because the CPU always dives to one side. It was the same in last years PES haha

ive got about 6 friends on PSN so its got nothing do with how many firends you have, also you cant do penalties or free kicks, with just your VP you need at least 5 defenders on too as well as the rest of your team
 
ah right - i won't go deleting more friends then lol.. will just wait for a fix

just run into the box with the ball and press a directional button on the d-pad for a peno, same with free-kicks.. :)

thanks, i thought i was doing something wrong

anyone got any tips on how to hit free kicks? my cousin has a technique which he scores every single one he hits against me and he wont tell me how he does it, he can even score from 40 yards out, i think it was 38 yards to be exact but i now found a way to counter them by moving the wall away so the goalie changes position, its annoying though if he manages to shoot before i move the wall.
 
OK so what are we doing? Ill be around tomorrow. Who else can play?

Skip, mind being the 'captain' for this? You know SC better than us so might give us an insight to their team and who suits playing against them.

OK well it depends on who's playing.

Jonny may not be able to play.


If Topher is playing, I think he makes a fantastic ANY or midfielder.

Beenom is our best striker IMO.

James suits CM best so LAM?

Poly, either a striker or mid, either way you'll score or assist.

I'll do RDM, RAM or striker, wherever I'm needed. I've been working on these 3 positions in the offline BAP mode to make myself a little more useful in club.


No one else has confirmed they will be attending yet.


If Jonny plays, he's definitely suited to LS or LAM so in the case of him going LAM, James to RAM and I'll go RDM.

I think it's between Poly, Beenom and Jonny for the ST positions. I guess we could try some sort of 3 forward formations tonight?




SC, depending on who plays, usually use the default Spurs formation. They're really quite good and not far behind us on the leaderboards at all. They rarely play with an ANY so practicing against CPU defence offline will help. Most play usually directed down the wings first and either crossed in, or cut inside to the edge of the box.

Good DMs, good wingers and good strikers. They're a balanced side. :)

OK I guess we should use 9pm tonight as the deadline for whoever is interested and then play at 10pm and see what seems to work. Perhaps meet up in the chatroom first to discuss?

Only 3 ST situation that I feel would work with how we play would be similar to our custom Barcelona setup (or perhaps 1 main ST and 2 CFs?) - playing standard 433 makes our attack too wide, especially when the main STs are usually happy to use that space in the first place. Personally the 4222 form at the moment seems to give a good balance with 5 people - be nice to get some feedback on possible forms as I made the change and not sure if its all for the best...

I really like the 4-2-2-2 formation but with 3 good strikers, it seems a waste to not utilise them. :p

Yeah, it basically is.

Is everyone happy with the positions I've put up there?

I've tried to be as fair as possible while thinking of where each of you play best.
