Yeah I think we just need to play more games together - though I think VPs need to be of a higher standard if possible as the generics the ANY uses are crap (Im amazed how inept they are).
Im tempted to say we really need VPs that have at least skilled dribbling setup (ensures they have played 50games so a good chance they have levelled up) - tis a shame Club needs so much effort this year. Online BAP gives you a good idea how Club works and how frantic it is...
Can everyone who was online last night for the match post what they think we did right/wrong - lets use this to focus our gameplay and how we play as a team...
From my point of view I think it was unfair that Toph was on ANY - hes had some good games but only played as ANY a handful of times, before we played SCFC who seem to be pretty good going forward. Still good experience and I want more people to try ANY and get more games under their belt - I still think ANY is the cornerstone of the team.
ANY only controlling the defence line doesnt work - by the time they had a chance to assist the opponents have gone past them. The camera doesnt let you see enough of the play ahead if you focus on the defence and when you focus on the ball its hard to know where the opposing forwards are and what they are doing (radar helps but takes time to understand). I would recommend leaving at least one DM under ANYs control. Also I noticed that when I was ANY on corners I was taken them and had 2 generics up there aswell so only had 1 defender actually back there - mental!!!
Defensive line is still too high so I need to fix the form rather than promote ultra defensive nature (forces all to move back to defend). When the the ball in defence, dont try and pass it out unless you are 100% sure - whacking it out is the best option usually.
I noticed a few regularly out of position - that needs to be sorted out. On one match I was AM and always in front on my ST partner - meant I had only 1 ST to cross to and that ST had no one central to assist him. Its the main reason we use 2 STs to allow them to work off each other. Also I saw DMs behind the defensive line which doesnt help with offside etc...
Lastly, and I didnt see any of this at all, dont try and hog the ball - possession is key so try and keep it simple (dont do long passes, just link up 2 short ones etc) and if you cant see a way going forward play it back. We lost a lot of possession around the halfway line and were found wanting on the counter - if we just dont let that happen we wont be so frail...
Theres probably other points but thats it for now
