***FIFA 10 - PS3 10v10 Clubs***

I keep trying to do too much with the ball when I get it. Having a big dude means I can only sprint for a very short burst. Only useful in and around the box.
 
Perhaps shorten the bugger a bit and try and use chip less on the final ball/pass/shot? ;)

We need to use comms more as sometimes a pass comes out of the blue and the reciever doesnt expect it...

I need to stop over-using tricks and being so rude over comms :(. Also should use skilled dribbling more than just running and then trying to trick - seems to get you out of trouble and tight spots.

my 32 incher came today - was expecting it tomorrow so i'll be adjusting a bit! i also need to sort out the display settings as fifa looks waaaaaaay bright, the grass is hurting my eyes.. :(
 
yeh sammy - i had a look, off the top of my head it had.. dynamic, standard, natural and movie. no game.. :(

atm, i have it on movie - it tones everything down a bit and makes it less vibrant.. will probably try set a custom setting later
 
I think Skip is alluding to the setting where it reduces the TV post-processing which can add lag when you play games as it effectively re-processes the image when it arrives rather than just outputting what your PS3 is sending.

Unsure how bad this lag can be but it can be noticeable, especially on fast paced games like FIFA and FPSes - might be in the advanced settings rather than the normal image modes...

Whats the model in case that doesnt work :p. Oh yeah a couple of people (Skip!) want a team/kit change - any suggestions?!? Could do it for 2010 :p

I've just googled the model no. from the back of my TV and found that most results state it as 720p :confused:

Yet, my PS3 is displaying in full 1080p, my PC will display 1080p on it, and pressing info on the remote whilst any of these are on shows that it is indeed displaying 1080p. :confused:

Perhaps it's a mixup and I've got a more expensive model at a bargain price? :p

I doubt they added the wrong model number on the back of the TV at the factory - anyway heres hoping :p. It does get confusing with all the silly upscaling going on everywhere...

If it looks good who cares :D

yeh, i've pressed all the buttons down the bottom and they don't do anything related to gaming mode/720p

looked through the settings and can't find a processing mode option, just picture modes..

will see how it handles clubs later, 1v1 was ok, definitely playable but just felt a bit odd at first.. :p

Unfortunatly, I havn't played with my VP. Currently starting on him as we speak, not used to this whole new FIFA concept, as the last FIFA I played was FIFA '98.

Is there any other ways to train my VP up or should I just stick to Manager mode for now?

Any hints would be grateful! ;)
 
Sorry only just noticed the reply - I did give some tips here but please ask any more specific questions. Definitely use offline play (manager and BAP) to make him half decent and make him into a useful player for your preferences, then get on to Pro Club where you can get used to the pace/lack of time on ball when playing with other humans...

Good games again tonight - think Grooves fitting in nicely and picking up how we play, so hopefully thats working out for him too (I think you prefer an AM role, but perhaps more centrally - we use the present form as a good compromise), was nice to see Russbot on too :D. Last 2 games we played were very satisfying - might not have caned the opposition but the quality of play was high and overall standard was solid...

Wing play worked again with some great goals from crosses (still not used to preferring this :p) or ground passes, perhaps we are still a bit too intricate but thats not a bad thing. Great to see how well we play onside and break on an attack - we never dont have chances and I do think thats because we play with 4+ now...

Really feels like we are turning a corner and clicking with FIFA 10 Club - Im still nowhere near where I want to be but I guess Im still end up playing where Im needed and still not found a comfortable position yet - a jack of all trades, really do like being the 'creative maestro' when it works, but I should leave the flair to Beenom :p...
