Hmmm that might solve the permanent issue somewhat if we start the spilt at 6 - though Ill always play with 4ppl myself (find attacking generics to be too stupid - Kill can confirm that after our few matches). Also some people might juut not want to be either the ST or ANY (generic STs are useless)...
I like the idea as it solves quite a few difficult questions, but might have to be a decision on a night to night basis?
Id personally volunteer the above before the whole permanency concern (Im not interested in playing a single position for x amount of time and have played every position given/asked of me as I think its a bit of a cop-out not to IMO - also some people, say Jamesbcd havent been giving a chance at different positions so its hard to qualify where people should be unless its just out of familiarity)
