***FIFA 10 - PS3 10v10 Clubs***

Between lag caused by the mass of players and EA's ancient servers and the PSN log out issue, some of us decided to wait a few days till these issues are sorted/interest dies down a little.

I enjoyed the games we did play though. We won both of ours I think. Opposition left both times before the end of the game.
 
lag was worse than any time in FIfa 09. Literally slideshow. I hope this is just teething problems because i had no lag problems on ranked earlier.

Clubs is kinda weird this time round but potentially better i reckon. When i was captain i could not move people from their position which is why poly's VP was ST and not LW. Maybe i was just imagining things but i couldnt seem to do at lot lol. Could have been menu lag i suppose.

I like the fact there should be no genuine VP with uber high stats in skills dribbling etc unless that human player can consistently pull off those moves. Yes you can artifically get your stats to 85 by buying them but it shows up in your profile :D (i think bought induced stats are coloured yellow...how appropriate :) )and it only lasts for 20 matches and then u need to keep paying.

All in all very promising indeed :D
 
what are peoples thoughts on pro tournament mode (essentially VPclubs)

Say your opp team has 5 VP (so 5 human players) and each of them pays for the 85 stats upgrade from the ea store.

Your team of 50 - 60s cpu defence stats are going to have a hard time handling this! Maybe what EA were thinking is that some people love playing as a CB and will put the time into developing a VP that way? And also maybe EA seriously think that 7-10 players are always playing club matches - which is insane. In FIFA09 it was mainly 3-5 players which were the most common opponent teams.

So basically pro tournament is borked then atm? (and this is apart from the online issues lol)

Is it possible to create more than one VP per player? I mean i could create a CAM and also a defender? Or is it only 1 per EA ID ? So i'd need to use another EA account to do so?

Thing is even if that worked would the VP created defender play in the team if i wasnt ONLINE and playing in the team under that EA account?

I imagined a situation where we could VP create a few defenders under another account then add them to the club THEN they would be a part of the club and cpu would play as them if we played under our main account (ie striker or midfielder)

Everyone getting this so far? :D Because if there is no workaround then either clubs is dead or all teams will be in the same situation so we can look forward to games where the score will be 20-19

Oh and not forgeting...whoever plays as any will be hating it!
 
One more thing.

There should be a filter option in clubs that allows you to filter out playing clubs with STORE BOUGHT skills.

i wish anyway....

The two games we played in Match Room 2 yesterday, we controlled the play.

I was ANY for both games and I honestly didn't feel any difference using the random generated players. We managed to spread the ball about well and create a few chances.

I'm actually liking the new system. It's just the lag and PSN issues that I want sorted now.

The two games we played in Match Room 2 yesterday, we controlled the play.

I was ANY for both games and I honestly didn't feel any difference using the random generated players. We managed to spread the ball about well and create a few chances.

I'm actually liking the new system. It's just the lag and PSN issues that I want sorted now.

I noticed you were any players and were switching players all the time. Really helpful for when they played through balls and we needed a CB to muscle their ST off the ball.

I thought we did pretty well in all.

Yep. One thing the CPU can never do is anticipate a through ball. I like to keep one defender as far back as possible without playing someone else onside.

really?

what rating were your defenders? You dont think there might be a problem for a bunch of defenders of 50 - 60s vs attackers in the 85s ?
btw could you make subs? change form & positions the VPro players were in?

Not sure on that. Beenom was captain for the first game and JoJo for the 2nd.

But I did play ANY for both and had no problems containing their strikers.

Completely agree with that, we were 2 or 3 up when I got cut off in the 2nd game, so though we were playing well it's just network problems which are the problem at the moment!

I didn't get any message. :confused:

I sent out friend invites for all those on the list and added whoever I could to the club.
