Had one of those nights, logged onto Fifa played game online, players acted like total idiots. After I lost the game 3-0. I said HELL NO and turned it off !

I had Robben running onto the ball from a nice through ball with no one NO ONE near him as he gathers the ball (NOT HOLDING RT) he spins around on the spot and falls over on the floor ball rolls to his keeper....... I had a few times where players just flat out refused to run to the ball. So I just figured its going to be one of THOSE nights and I for one would not let EA indulge in my misery !

Used him for a couple of matches both in CDM and CAM. Was okay, didn't feel like there was any massive improvements to justify his current steep price tag on PC.

I didn't ask for your team advice, I asked if anybody had used him which it sounds like you haven't.
Ta. Got him for 83k on PS3 so I'll see how he holds up. Wasn't massively impressed with the NIF but he does a job where I need a Juve link that isn't H/H in my hybrid team. Matuidi is my other CDM.

I got a 72 hour Battlelog ban for BF4 on PC for having an offensive emblem and logically that carries forward to EASFC on PS3 so can't play till Thursday to test him out.
Funnily enough I can still log onto the webapp and play any other game other than Battlefield / FIFA even though FIFA is on a different platform. Got to love EA.

After many hours ploughed into this game now I can safely say it's one of the worst FIFA's since 2008 (when I stared enjoying the series)
All it is about pass and run then a timed lobbed through ball, no one does any different. I do the same due to the players poor control and agility it's impossible to keep the ball and pass around.
What have they done, I imagine 15 will just go back to being 13 again as they see what a **** game they've made.
When two good players come together it's like a Sunday League game with players constantly losing the ball or getting tackled when you're using the likes of Mata, Cazorla, Silva who rarely lose the ball.

Yeah this FIFA is utter ****e compared to 11/12/13. 13 was frustrating but at least you could play football and still win through just being a better player.

Some of the next gen footage and reviews I've seen look a bit promising for 14 but I'm still not convinced. One review said that its not as easy to get the ball off an opponent like it is now ie run at them like a freight train on fire and just get the ball. Apparently players are more likely to jump over sllide tackles and actually hold the ball rather than it being whisked away while you have your foot on the ball.
From videos I've seen of the PS4 version the ball "acts" a lot differently than it does on the 360 and PS3. It deffo seems more realistic, how it actually plays is another matter. I've not played 14 on the xbox nowhere near as much as I played 12 or 13 so far because it does feel like utter BS at times. But I've still got my hopes for the XO version, will find out this Friday

I went with Gomez but he just got brushed aside all the time despite having 88 strength! Why do I try hustle a defender off the ball when I can use Ibardo and lob the ball over the defender.

You reckon? This feels better than 13 to me, I still concede to horrible lofted through balls, but far, far less, and rarely lose to cross spamming any more.
It's still not great - I've played games recently where I'm pretty sure the only buttons on my opponent's controller were L2, triangle, and shoot, but it seems less prevalent than in 13.
Either way, I'd still rather try to play decent passing football and win that way. I've finally started winning games in Div2 now and getting to grips with that, so it can be done. Yes, I won't have as good W/L ratios as you guys, but at least I don't feel like every game is a grind.

Yeah the way people play winds me up. Playing people on here or others who play properly and I really enjoy it. Annoying that there isn't more games in seasons against people who play properly rather than playing the game engine.
Always going to happen but I just think the things that work this year are especially rancid.
Yup - I still need to give you a game some time. Might be on tonight after the footy depending on work.

2 days with no response from EA, they really are hopeless. Im going to take the opportunity to send the game back to amazon for my upgrade voucher to get BF4, if its not sorted by the time I get 14 downloaded on my Xbox one, ill bin the coins if they ever give me them back.
When I had an issue with EA I got it sorted in a few days via a slightly moaning tweet (constructively) via @AskEASupport on Twitter. They put me in contact without somebody who could speak English and wasn't a bot. If I hadn't have done this I'm sure I never would have got the missing FIFA points.
I have to agree. Even amazing dribblers seem to have rubbish ball control and turn like freight trains so dribbling is a no-no.
Passing is impossible because of the poor control and the high pressure which means one very slightly loose pass and the ball is just gone.
