Pace will ALWAYS play a huge part in FUT. They always bring in the most value in terms of selling too. Not looked into what i'll have yet but its hard to find something realistic. Legends is no were near enough to sway any decision on a console though i think it will just be a gimmick and die down after a week or so especially if its only for specific tournaments, and will only be used by the rich players because lets face it they wont be cheap.
 
Usually it comes out for 360 and PC first (traditionally between 10am and 2pm), and PS3 later in the day (due to when the stores are updated).

exactly, so unless your a heavy pack buyer or amazing trader, there would be no reason to sway a console purchase tbh.

robert you switching to 360 for legends?

he seems like the only ps3 player who would tbh.
 
If I packed a legend card I'd most likely sell it unless I could use it whenever and wherever I wanted. No point having that amount of coinage in a card that never gets used.

I would probably do the same thing tbh, though maybe not straight away as they could be very valuable and I'd rather wait until people had more than enough coins to buy him for a true value (and I think we're talking close to millions for some of them).
 
I think they'll probably release one a week, will keep the pack purchases flowing in nicely for them. Obviously the longer you hold onto one the higher they'll probably rise as people get rich and need certain legends for their squads.

probably better ebaying it tbh, the hundreds of pounds you get in cold hard cash could be put towards something else, and then you just buy £20 worth of packs to boost your game a little from said profits.

How has Podolski lost 6 pace in one season? They've destroyed the pace on most LM/RM and wingers/forwards cards.

On a brighter note at least Kosc now has pace equal to Luiz as they're about the same speed in real life I'd say.

Well, its less pace reliant than in 13, and I made apretty similar team last night with Aguero LCAM, Podolski CF, Kagawa RCAM and Giroud up top and he dominated, just seemed to work really well, encourage slow build up and was a lot of fun!

Also with Giroud's strength counting for him more and his pace against him less, I can see him & Negredo being viable, which is nice!
 
i've always loved using a big man and an all rounder up top.

but since 13 changed a few things, like ruining the 4222 formation and turning it solely into pace dominates everything including pace based players becoming the best target men, i stopped using player's like dzeko and ibra who were the best target men in 12 and started using Muriel as a target man and an all rounder in 1 up top formations with wingers.

if they have went back to big guy's making the best target men rather than the fastest ones, then i could return to using guy's like dzeko who were simply terrible in 13.

hopefully i can now try out other formations too, 5221 was the only one which agreed with me in 13, 4222 was the only one which agreed with me in 11 and 12, although i really liked 4321 as well in 12 for la liga.

i'm hoping 4231 agrees with me this time round.
 
I cant see pace not being dominant in opposing team sheets, but that doesnt necessarily mean the engine relies on pace. Youll just end up following suit, especially if as Dan7 says off-the-ball pace is different to on-the-ball pace so pacy defenders will be even better, hopefully will help reduce the the AI imbalance that EA introduced with 13.

AI is what needed focusing on anyway. Whilst some can control their defence pretty well I all too often see AI making some very stupid decisions like running away from the player they are marking when a ball is crossed in and he just gets a free header.
 
Pace will undoubtedly be the biggest factor especially now defenders and pace in general has been nerfed abit. I hope its more realistic though so Wallcott doesnt get beat for pace by the likes of Hangeland etc. Its so fustrating, in reality he would run round him not sit on his shoulder trying to run through him. In every Fifa i've also had a big all rounder up top (mainly Ibra) but in 13 you need a pacey thin back otherwise your out of luck.
 
Also as i've said before Fifa 13 is the first i quit as its by far always been my favourite mode. I am/was a heavy pack buyer i spent £200 which im ashamed to admit in the first 3 months addiction was at its worst. But what i found was the better the players the worse your team was its like a handicap of some sort they just never worked. So i then sold them all on ebay and gained some money back around £120 and bought a average premiership team (full of pace albeit) for like 60k coins which i happend to give a go the other week and i won the division 1 title twice on the bounce coming against top inform teams. I just hope good players are actually good this time around because i found no reason to spend money at all feeling constantly handicapped and getting rinsed by lower rated teams.
 
Torn between making a cheap German non-rare team or a Spanish non-rare. Adrian and Rodrigo might be a bit tasty again like they were last year, and now Spain seems to have a load of beast non-rare defenders like Montoya, Bartra and Martinez.
