I've scored a few from crossing the ball, as is in the keeper grabs the ball on the line and my players shoulder checks him like it's Hockey and the keeper goes over the line and gives me a goal.

@Rusty Although you smashed me last night I think I'm getting better lol :D
 
These people with millions of coins with players like Ronaldo and Messi. Are they bought with real money or can you earn it in-game? i only get like 800coins a game.

Further into the game you get the more coins you earn?

Also no one as answered my question from last night. How do the staff work as i won a few decent staff last night but don't know how to assign them to the team or what not.

They have spent real money on either packs to get coins or just on straight coins.

In terms of staff, they just 'exist' in your club and their bonuses are automatically added to any stat boost cards that you use so they're generally pretty useless.

The only good staff to have really are managers with +% on contracts.

For people who use the expensive players like Messi and Ronaldo it's usually a mix of people buying some packs with real money and trading. The more coins you have, the more coins you can make. My preferred method is trading with in-forms, as you can generally easily predict how their prices will go.

For the staff, all you need to do is send them to your club and then forget about them. The only staff really worth having are managers with +% to Negotiations - this boosts the amount of contracts given to your players when you apply a contract cards. These %'s stack with 50% being the cap, so from having 15-20 managers all with 1-3% negotiations on, you can receive 50% more contracts from applying a contract card.

When applying a contract on the web app/console, when you hover over the contract to apply it it will say something like 'Staff bonus: xx' to tell you how many extra games you're getting.

At a very basic level it's the same. It's a lobbed through ball after all.

The differences between them are obvious. One is a glitch with tutorial videos. Mine was just a looping 'boom' ball by a player with bad passing stats hence the ridiculous swerve on it.

lol I did think about adding that music. Kind of best vs worst case there. Vidic pegging it after Ronaldo is never gonna end well for him :p.

It's really not the same. You can see Lucas bombing it down the wing, and Rusty waits until the right time to put the through ball in.

The annoying thing about lobbed through balls is when people just spam them even when their players are not in a good position, or not making a run, or when they can't even see up the field, etc. They are just hitting and hoping for the best. And because of how stupidly defenders react to them, there's a good chance of the ball getting past them and onto an attacker, or into loads of open space.

You can see on the radar a player bombing forward at kick off just the same, it's a long chipped ball no matter if in open play or at kick off.
 
Has anyone actually seen any player skill this year?

There is a major lack of it from what ive seen. Just chipped balls all the time.

Just played a team with IFs Hazard, Navas, Nasri, Aguero.

Not a single skill????

As Rusty said, at a basic level this is true. But Lucas running down the wing into open space on a counter attack and receiving a lobbed through ball is very different to the kick off glitch. If you can't understand that - you're stupid.

Yeah don't worry about the scoreline. I was in mega ruthless mode last night (P16 W14 L2) though I did try some outrageous skills at the end.

Could not get either the Hocus Pocus or Triple Elastico to come off. So difficult to nail the input in an actual match but they completely kill defenders so it can be amusing to see.

Hocus Pocus is may favourite. It's like stick down then quarter turn clockwise (to 9:00) then from that position a half turn anti-clockwise (to 3:00).

EDIT: 5* move obviously

I've been practicing the Waka waka - I tried to pull it off a few times in our games Rusty but failed miserably. Can do it in the training arena no probs though.

Looks so cool when you pull it off :D

But then I saw some World of Warcraft videos on his youtube account :eek:

It may have been 7 years ago...but that certainly doesn't make it ok! :D

Yeah that one is nonsene to pull off as well.
 
If you don't play lobbed through balls then you aren't going to win many I assure you, it's easily the best method of breaking through 1v1. The kick off glitch is far worse and not really comparable when the defenders don't seem to acknowledge the ball is incoming.

Actually my record button was the same as my trinket 1 button and my trinket 2 button was bound to screenshot in whatever I was using to record :p.

Bearing in mind these videos were vanilla WoW from memory as well before all of the pro UIs came out and people started taking the game seriously. I think our guild started taking it seriously around AQ40 time... I think. Now that was some time ago. :)
