I've sold the players I got when I logged in and bought the others from the market. No Fifa points added or anything like that.

Got 4 loyalty packs (2 gold & 2 all star) and a mini bronze as the free gift. Best I got was Santi Cazorla.

Standout are Victor Moses, Malafaev and the now silver Kenwyne Jones who seems to be attracting quite a bit of attention, although tempted to hang onto him for a few days!

Best player I got was Eric Lamela which I am pleased with. If pace was as important as it is in 13 then I would be happy as I got Welliton as a striker and a really pacey LW.
