Or just pay £30 have the game on release and save the need from checking twice a day everyday to save a fiver you tight arse

Unless I order from Amazon @£35 (at time of post) with free shipping but then I wont get it until a week later. So sod it I will just pay the 50 euro's and get it on release day. Its probably one of my most played games which generally I will play through out the year so its worth the money to me.

It'll be out somewhere on release for 30, usually is. Check the supermarkets.

no it's not and it hasn't been so for many year's.
supermarkets 3 years ago sold it for as cheap as £25 on release day, but not for the past 2 years, it's usually around £35+ the same as everywhere else unless of course you buy another game or spend £50 in store on shopping, etc.
£35 or thereabouts is the cheapest you can expect it to be on launch day.
£25 within a month or two on hotukdeals somewhere.
i know this for a fact as last year i refused to pay £35 for the game and waited 1 month and got it for £25 online was the ultimate edition too with the free packs.
even right now the cheapest is £35 using codes, tesco have it for £40 on their website but amazon have it for £35,
both deals on hot uk deals have expired for £35 though

so good luck trying to get it for cheaper than £35 at launch tbh, if you want it cheap then amazon is looking like your best bet, unless you fancy queuing for 2 hours to get it on launch night for the same price just so you can play it a few hours earlier.

therefore im referring to console versions of the game.
nice try though but yes the pc version has always been around £10 cheaper than console versions.

13 - £35 was the going rate
12 - £30 was the going rate
11 - £25 was the going rate
this year it looks like £35-£40
i just checked hot uk deals for last year's launch and no way was it £30 on it's own.
supermarket's cottoned on to the fact it's not worth their while to sell it at a loss 2 year's ago, because the majority of buyer's don't buy anything else, like they hoped they would do.
i repeated this info many times last year, and it turned out to be true, yet people a year on still think it will be £30 or less in a supermarket on, get a clue, look up hot uk deals yourself for last year's launch.

i doubt it's going to increase again this year unless you go for next gen.
but i know for a fact it has increased on average by £5 for the past 2 year's running when bought on it's own in a supermarket.
i paid £24.90 something iirc for 11 @ asda midnight launch on it's own
around £29.99 for 12 @ asda midnight launch on it's own
and I got 13 a month or two after release for £24.99 because i didn't want to pay £34.99 at launch on it's own.

You do talk an awful lot of crap Psycho Sonny at times, its more than acceptable to consider that offer for FIFA at £29 considering the terms is to buy currency for the relevant console at face value. Considering how popular spending money on FUT does it matter if its via your credit card or ones of those cards. Or if you dont spend it on FUT theres quite a lot on PSN/XBL you could do - next youll be telling us youve never bought anything on those services

it will be around £35 some supermarkets may sell at a loss in order to entice other sales but i doubt they will since they cottoned on to the fact it doesn't work.
so they have came up with another option which is make the customer buy something else in order to make the game cheaper.
you do know you can buy PSN credit online for like £5 cheaper than the card value right?
tesco were selling the game for £30 plus a card for £5 more than you can buy it online, therefore your actually paying £35 for the game when buying with credit because i could have gotten the card for £5 cheaper.
As I said a pedant, for the vast majority of people (like manic111) stated FIFA13 was effectively under £30. No doubt supermarkets will have conditions against that sale, but its not that hard to spend £50 in a supermarket for example, when you are spending £30 of that on a game itself - its not the biggest loophole to deal with...

£50 shopping has to be separate
and it's usually only sainsbury's that offers that deal
trust me i know the in's and out's of what fifa's pricing has been at supermarkets for the past few years because i have been using hotukdeals for many years now.
it was £35 last year on it's own.
the year before £30 on it's own
the year before that £25 on it's own.
those were the cheapest for buying it on it's own.
therefore i expect it to be £35 this year, unless you buy something else.
But some of us dont care if it was its own, only youve made that a qualifying remark, if I do my weekly shop and get a cheaper FIFA at the same time, thats fine by me. The neccesity for your own scenario to be based on the individual cost is borderline stupidity...

when they were selling them at £25 they were selling at a loss i imagine, there was a big war between the supermarkets to get people through the door's in hope they would buy other thing's in order to make up for the loss.
they then realised that the majority didn't buy anything else.
they also realised they needed extra staff on at that time of night to deal with demand, therefore they had higher running costs, etc as well.
so they sold at £30 the following year and must have decided that was also not profitable or as much as they would have hoped it would be.
therefore i imagine £35 means they make some money at least.
wonder what the cost price is of fifa to a big retailer.
amazon are selling it for £35, therefore i imagine it must be around £25-£30 cost price to them.
