I to have bad luck with packs, opened £35 worth the other night and best I got was Ashley Young.. Oh well all the discards gave me coins towards Suarez who is a right beast.

What makes it worse is my mate didn't buy any points and pulled Ronaldo on a 7,500 coin pack.

Was at Eurogamer yesterday and had a couple of games of next gen FIFA, oh my! It feels a lot smoother and natural, there are way more animations for everything which makes the game feel less clunky, it looks incredible, the crowd, stadiums, you can even see the blades of grass lol.

Was very impressed. Lofted through balls still seemed good, didnt ry get chance to pop off any long range finesse.

Guarin looks beast mode as a CAM tbh

he's so well rounded that if he get's an IF he will be the only player in the game with pretty much 80+ in every position on his card

he only has 1 red stat - marking, doesn't look good defensively (tackling is poor also) but going forward he looks like he could prove to be a powerhouse, long shots and shot power look great especially.

I want to build the German national team but the prices of their players is just nutsballscrazy.

Reus going for over 100k. Lahm over 50k. Ozil 100k. Gotze 70k What. Team would cost around 500k to build and I only have 600k in the bank.

Looks so solid but that price... dayum.

Right, I've played Fifa casually with mates for years but I've never touched the whole Ultimate Team thing before so thought I'd give it a go. Would appreciate it if someone would look at my team and tell me if I'm doing the right sort of thing? Cheers

They really need to sort out something for when players put their controller down. So annoying to be 20m in game time then he leaves. Their should be an afk timer or something that disconnects the player if there are no buttom commands.

Yea I had the same experience with Guarin too. Sure his stats portray him as a great all rounder. But that is his problem, jack of all trades master of none. For me he just never felt good at anything. Hernanes is a quality CAM especially having a 5* weak foot. Even at CM Guarin just felt disconnected I prefer Videl and Montolivo as my CM's.

oh crikey, forgot about the 5-0 coins.. got 10 in game minutes to score two goals. gogogogogogo

edit: done. its much easier scoring goals against an AFK in this fifa. in 13, the cpu would just tackle you all the time. lol.

How important are the ingame tactical decisions in Fifa 14? Like whether to play defensive or attacking, or to play counter attack football/offside trap? Does it really make that much difference?

Trying out Maicon as I'm not finding Alves as effective as i'd like. 95k cheaper hopefully he can do a job.

You don't buy Alves to be a defender, you buy him to attack. He has high/low workrates.

I found Maicon meh. Go for Rafael if you want a Brazilian RB.

Wow this FIFA really is awful for corner goals, 3 UT games played and all goals conceded are corners. And I would consider my defence to be pretty good. (Overall 83 rated)

Crossing right now is OP.. they should nerf it. Goals from corners are pretty much non-existent in real football these days.
