This is what I ended up with after my pack buying last night.

Baines had to move to the second team to fit Thiago Silva into defence, otherwise I have to put in Sideshow bob beside Kompany.

Edit, no I don't, just swapped Kompany and Silva and now it works with Baines left back :)

Anyone suggest a good Ligue 1 team without Ibra? Thinking Falcao - Cavani upfront, would want Lavezzi in there as well, Silva CB obviously.

Or a Silva - Ramos hybrid.

I found 41212(2) to be absolutely dreadful. Just me though :D. No harm in trying this year though at least :).

Get a Ligue 1 manager should be higher than 7? It's funny there's no brazillian managers this year. Weird.

Or get Sirigu for double link to Silva. Should get max chem then. Ramos will be OK.
 
Won 3 games with it so far, thoughts:

Costa feels awful on the ball, turns like a bus, that Brazilian CM is dreadful but only link with Silva I can get. Rest of the team is superb I've put Sirigu in goal instead of Alves. Iniesta just as fun to play with as last year, passing really helps the forwards.
 
Do you guys play just online seasons? I've played about 20 games and with the coins I've earned and players bought the highest squad rating I can get is only 76 :p

I haven't seen 100k coins let alone 10k :p

20 games is why, the big cash prizes come when you get into the better divisions and for that you need to have played at least around 50 games i would think.

e.g. i get over 10K coins just for not being relegated in division 1, add to that 500+ coins every match then it's about 2K coin average for every match you play even if you don't win the title, if you do it's like 2.5K per match.

basically get into division 3 at least and then the coins start to roll in.

not enough to buy any players over 40K and such, but enough to build pretty decent budget teams.

try out 442 (2) it's practically the same as the 4222 you use anyway, but you will have a far greater range of players to choose from since RM's and LM's are a lot faster than CAM's naturally.

you were struggling with giovinco last time, but now you could use EL Shaarawy and Candreva who would suit you a lot better.

since you no longer need to buy formation cards, etc it makes switching formations seamless, you would only need to swap out 2 players.

Yeah I was looking at that actually - I quite like 4-2-2-2 as it means the CAMs drift inside and get more involved, but I should get hold of a couple of wide midfielders and try a change too!
