oh fair enough if u stick to the standard its fine - I just hate it when the whole team is pressing my players because of the custom tactic - ive never found a way around it - I pass the ball to someone who seems to be free and wham ball is stolen of my player...

Game has became pathetic to play in Div 1, if I use any of my squads with good players the opponent just goes Ultra D, high pressure, team pressing. The only way you can win from then on is to lob ball it really as ground passes get intercepted so easily when pressured, shame my good teams aren't set up to spam lobbed through balls though.

Switch back to cheap Serie A with Ibarbo and I start winning every game again...

Stepping aside from/ducking under all the handbags flying in here, but...is Jovetic any good in actuality, I seem to come up against him a lot and his stats look pretty generic, is he more the "poor man's Suarez"? Basiclly, if I have el biter, is it worth even considering the once bought never use dby Man City Jovetic? :)

try using a more zoomed out camera

i use Coop camera and zoom it out to the maximum.

i then disable all the crap on the screen like power bar, player names, score, time, etc, they all just get in the way.

i then use player indicator and set it to name, so it tells me who is on the ball. directly above the player, much easier to use and better because you know who is on the ball, you know their strengths and weaknesses and you know how to use them.

e.g. you could get confused with having say Marcelo, Luiz, Dante, Fellaini, etc all in the same team with their afro bobs, this way i know who it is on the ball without looking at the bottom.

anyway back to the camera. having it on co-op gives you a wider viewing angle of who is in front and behind you, zooming out gives you a wider view of the pitch to see who is on either wing.

with you in a more zoomed out and wider camera you can now see the majority of your player son the field.

again this isn't ideal if your using say a 15 inch portable tv, luckily i use a 50" top of the range panny plasma.

i only messed about with the camera settings recently and my gameplay has improved as a result, the amount of through balls i now do to the diagonally opposite wing opposed to doing none before is a huge killer ball.

try out the above camera settings and stuff, you should see a player which is in tons of space.

Does anyone have games where your passes just don't connect, and it's impossible to keep possession?

I have decent games, then the very next game my team play like cack :p

What controller settings do people use? Auto/Semi etc.

He is the best all round striker I have used so far.

Also > Suarez because he's at least 3 feet taller than him and you know height is important for the heading, strength part of the game, etc.

don't connect as in loose balls where the opponent picks them up.

or not enough power, etc?

or as in wild passes where they go nowhere near the player.

I might give him a try as an impact sub then, can't hurt to try he'll hardly break the bank! I just remeber people raving about him in '12 and '13 and he was pitiful for me.

Not sure on the height/strength though, Suarez bulldozes in for headers and usually hurls himself at the opposition/ball, Aguero seems to usually do pretty well too more graceful, where Suarez is like an angry Rotweiller.

If you do use him, do not underestimate his 77 passing, the amount of lay offs and through balls, etc he has done is amazing for a ST.

his heading stats are also a lot better than suarez, in the jumping and accuracy combined with height.

that's why he is so well rounded, he isn't poor at anything, passing, heading, taking on players, 4 star weak foot, pace, height.

he isn't going to score from nothing like neymar, but use him correctly and he finishes a lot of chances.

his finesse shot is poo though unless you have the space and angle, so smash them into far corner if that sort of chance opens up.

Fair do's, might try him tonight if I get a chance, Eto'o & Suarez is working pretty well though, only downside is Eto'o being 3* weak and having to be on the right for chemistry reasons.

I can. but its a doubled edged sword, I love Suarez's power shots on his strong foot and his positioning on the left side works well, with Eto'o you can just punt them straight and its usually fine, his weak foot finesse shots from close range are actually pretty impressive for 3*!

Etoo is a monster for me as a RST.

I simply just smash the ball into the left corner using his right foot, he is the best I have seen do this as well apart from fernandinho when I used him as RCAM.

All of the above :p

I'm inclined to blame my controller, it's getting quite old now and the analogue stick isn't that accurate.

if it's all of the above then it's either the controller or the person holding it lol.

are you using players with decent passing stats also?

put power to assisted if it's on manual, all the rest are usually best left on semi or assisted anyway.

edit:

I use Jovetic with Hawk and Etoo with Engine if you care much about chem styles Tim

So i sold everyone and i am buying big. I will let everyone guess what the missing link is -

I found Jovetic really good with Eto'o actually.

current streak is like 12 wins and 2 or 3 losses iirc so 4:1 win ratio with the team.

is that it? hardly insane, particularly considering the way you play the game.

Hmm haven't been able to access the transfer market on the FUT web app for a day now (not played '14 yet, just building up a team come Xbox One time), can still place on list and such, just keep getting "No matching results, Please modify you search criteria.." constantly. Anyone else?

:/

Hey guys, I can't believe it took me this long to find this thread! :D

I recognised quite a few names from the members market already but ive just spent literally hours reading this entire thread from start to finish! So, yes, a big hello to you all from me :D

I've been playing ultimate lately and trying to adapt to the slower pace it of myself. I think most aspects, i prefered fifa 13 ultimate but some elements in fifa 14 i really like, such as the more fighting spirit of midfield battles, which reminds me of earlier pes's, before it went crap :)

Hey Adsta, regarding Bundesliga teams...! I did make one a few weeks back and i was pleasantly surprised by reus. On fifa 13 reus used to just wind me up so much as a ST. He just seemed super weak and the medium/medium was driving me crazy and all his informs were LM with the same medium/medium  However, when i had him on fifa 14 he seemed fairly hard to knock off the ball considering he's only 67 strength, I'm guessing it might be the balance? but with him being high/medium now he was actually pretty effective and always in the goals.

Lewandowski I really wanted to love and he has great finishing/allround game, but really didn't feel very fast! he's good but not amazing imo....Dare i even say it but for me, the best striker in the league was Diouf! :o Aubameyang felt absolutely pathetically weak which was a shame.

I've got a feeling you should try Reus yknow..he might be better/as good as ribery this year with strength being more crucial. I've actually not had robben yet this year but he was my favourite RF on fifa 13! dat left foot!!! :D

Btw, regarding alaba.....if you need a LB..try Jansen! :D im serious! He's not insanely quick but doesnt feel slow either. He's a 6ft 3 brick wall that sweaty wingers just can't get around :) he's like Micah Richards but taller! :)
