Another fifa newb here! I just started playing a few days ago, bought a few packs and got Pirlo so thought I'd build a Serie A squad around him. This is what I have so far, using 4-4-2 (2):

------ Vucinic - Tevez ------
El Shaarawy - De Rossi - Pirlo - Cerci
Constant - Caceres - Barzagli - Maicon
-------- Handanovic --------

I'm planning on swapping Vucinic for Balotelli, De Rossi for Vidal and Caceres for Chiellini and that should be it unless anyone has any recommendations?

I played my first match online with it last night against a pretty strong BPL side, I should've lost really but managed to hold on to a 1-1 draw, was a great match though, very tense and no cheesy tactics. :)

Also ive noticed even from previous Fifa that fresh accounts have better pack luck, when me and my friends started I'm sure we all pulled an IF and another pulled Messi on his 3rd pack, not had any luck since.. Old Fifa were the same and id make an account and put some points onit and id have much better success.

I played a little of 12 on ps3 and was pretty rubbish so stopped playing for 3 or 4 months. Then one night i was watching thr Unicef soccer charity event; the one with celebs and old players. It inspired me to have another go and I had 70k coins so I splurged on packs. Pulled the blue ibra!!! Played a couple of games with him and realised I was still rubbish so put him up for 150 start price.

Cant remember how much I but I used the money and bought the top 11 players, non special cards. Played a few more games, still got beat :D

Moral of the story is I'm rubbish at FIFA and you as best to spend your money in the casino as on FUT.

Pirlo offers 1 thing passing and that is it no?

Personally I would get rid of Tevez for Balotelli, Vucinic has been an absolute monster for me and he's so well rounded.

Pirlo to Vidal

Cerci to Candreva

Constant to Radu (better defensively due to medium attack)

Maicon to Konko (better defensively due to medium attack and more pace = better offensively as well than maicon)

If you can save up for SIF Benatia at CB to partner Chiellini he is a brick wall

I think it's more to do with EA going after coin sellers and getting their paypal accounts banned from what Talbs has been saying ;)

He's had issues buying coins now because his paypal is banned and all his "suppliers" use paypal for payment.

Another thing is you can just buy an autobuyer for cheaper no? That website someone talked to about on here ultimateteam.co.uk sells autobuyers.

All you need to do is then set it up for trading a specific card (buy low sell high) and you will make millions of coins without doing anything as it automatically bids or buys and then puts it up for sale at your set price.

Cheers for that! Pirlo's dribbling seems pretty good, he controls it nicely and turns quickly but yeah, he's not amazing, quite slow when sprinting and can get muscled off the ball pretty easily.

I'll keep trying with Vucinic but I seem to do better with Tevez, not sure why, but I'll definitely replace one of them with Balotelli when I can and I'll try all the others you suggested.

Will have to look into that autobuying too...
 
Thing is there are that many Auto buyers its practically a race on which will get it first, after all the moaning and groaning ive just done, ive caved and bought £35 PSN points. I'll be opening them tomorrow and if i dont see any Blue, i wont be impressed.

From what others have said to me here, its coin sellers/autobuyers that have hugely inflated the market making it harder to trade up and making pack buying near pointless. Organised coin selling really isnt healthy for the market even if its at EAs expense

like who?

it's not as if they spend their time improving the game :p

plus they have banned people's origins accounts not only for selling coins but buying them as well, the thing is though that so many people are doing it it's hard to catch them all, in fact did a couple of people on here not get banned for coin buying?

they need to do something what they are currently doing is looking at a growing issue in the face and hoping that catching 1% of them will deter the other 99%.

Indeed. I'm thinking about racking FIFA off next year. I can't say I enjoyed the level of cash and time I had to put in to be able to make the teams I currently have but now I have them I'm enjoying it more. The first few months of the game including my time on the PS3 version were agonising.

Ronaldo, Ibra, Bale and Ribery are all players I like to use but they're all over a million coins. A million. Ronaldo at his peak was 65% higher than he was in 13. And that's just one year. I think next year it will be even worse as more and more people take to buying coins. And the less people that buy coins and don't buy packs = less cards on the market which in turn = prices going up.

What can you do though if you're EA? It's too late to do anything about it now for this year. I'd just personaly prefer them to up the card weights so that the best players and in forms settle at no more than 1.5m. The only way they will counter is to up card weights to make it more of an incentive otherwise next year the market will be ruined from the off.

They can't seriously believe that having Ronaldo settling around the 2.5m mark (which he will be once TOTY is over) is really the right level even for the extremely dedicated.

My trading secret is pretty basic and I know Neil does something similar to trade coins up. I bought a load of informs at rock bottom who I thought would increase in value once they were out of packs and sold them 2-3 weeks later. This way you don't have to really keep an eye on what's happening in the football world as EA rarely give out in forms so close together.

e.g.

Maxwell - bought 5 for 17k sold all for 34k
Benzema - bought 2 for 200k, sold for 310k
Pedro - bought 2 for 65k, sold for 90k
Moutinho - bought 4 for 45k - sold for 70k

I did the same with many in forms and as long as you're sensible with it and use your noggin on players which people are likely to actually want (i.e. not discard value informs) then you can quickly build up your funds.
 
There has always been something to trash the market though i remember FIFA 11, and FIFA 12 there were pre-loaded accounts stacked with 20,000 MSP at £6 which would cost well over £100 on the xbox.

If you compare the prices from FIFA 12 to now you'll see some large differences :p.
 
Ok so a few things I've noticed....

I'm getting better as not sprinting all the time and my defending is a little better although I'm still giving people too much space. I'm not using the back line to try and take the ball any more but midfield which lessens the through ball spam.

Two things I need to work on with my attacking.

Finesse shot, the amount of people that get a slight angle and just curl the ball in to the top corner, I can't stop it. When I shoot I just normally charge up a power shot and the keeper saves it, also when 1 on 1 with the keeper I need to try and lob/finesse.

The other thing is with people like Ronaldo, Naymer etc I need to try more long shots I think, I won a game just now 3-2. I got the ball to Naymer and thought screw it he will take the ball off of me in a moment so I shot and scored.

Anyone up for some PS4 games today? Even if you smash me hopefully I'll learn something :D
 
LOL @ thinking buying IF's for profit is a secret.

I remember when IF Nagatomo was being price fixed, I noticed less and less coming up on the market, I bought like 10 of them for like 15-20K each (I initially bought 2 one for my team and one because someone had put him up BIN for so low like 12K) they all sold for like 50K+ after he got price fixed.

I then told everyone on here if it happened on PS3 to start buying them on 360 as it was bound to happen on there, sure enough he doubled in price overnight.

IF's go up in price because they are never going to be in packs again and can be easily price fixed if they are the best player for that position, all you need is 2-3 players with a million coins each and just buy every single one on the market and keep them for 2 weeks then slowly release them at a specific price upwards.
 
With the price of coins, I'm debating selling everything, spending a mil on a team and then selling the other 4 mil for cash... But I do like the rage messages I get.

@Rusty cool mate, hope it doesn't come true... It might be a sign that one of my dodgy tackles will injure your Ibra! :D
