I'm getting better as not sprinting all the time and my defending is a little better although I'm still giving people too much space. I'm not using the back line to try and take the ball any more but midfield which lessens the through ball spam.

Two things I need to work on with my attacking.

Finesse shot, the amount of people that get a slight angle and just curl the ball in to the top corner, I can't stop it. When I shoot I just normally charge up a power shot and the keeper saves it, also when 1 on 1 with the keeper I need to try and lob/finesse.

The other thing is with people like Ronaldo, Naymer etc I need to try more long shots I think, I won a game just now 3-2. I got the ball to Naymer and thought screw it he will take the ball off of me in a moment so I shot and scored.

Anyone up for some PS4 games today? Even if you smash me hopefully I'll learn something :D

I'll give you a game tonight, was testing out Blu Ray on the PS4 with Casino Royale last night, also testing out my TV, not played a high bit rate 1080P source on it since I bought it iirc.

Looked absolutely stunning big difference from Sky HD and compressed 1080P sources, think I'm going to have to start borrowing some Blu Ray's from my mates collection from now on.


Finesse shot is player specific, Nasri is amazing at them for example Jovetic not so much, but given the right angle in a one on one I finesse all the time, I only ever lob from outside the box.

Finishing is mostly instinct, you need to react quickly given the situation, some people panic if they see a keeper rushing to them and mess it up others just react and know what to do a simple lob or divert course and go outwards and once past them slot it in.
 
Sunday/Monday is the best time to buy IF's that you think will rise I've found. Most people don't want to risk it though so only a few profit from it.

I get mine mainly on Wednesday afternoons. I've made about 1.5m in profit just from in forms. Worst case is you get your money back and I've had a couple that looked like they were about to flunk so sold up.
 
There are no real trading secrets its all about being disciplined reducing the investment risk and spreading that risk over multiple trades so even if the profit isnt substantial from one card it mounts up when you consider the many multiple trades you have ongoing...

It sounds far more clever than it actually is - especially with how many stupid, impatient buyers that are out there...

Ive found year on year it being easier to trade to get decent money, but conversely the market just shot up when FUT13 turned up effectively reducing the buying power I had and with cheap players being as effective its hard to bother to keep trading

@Rusty - I wouldnt be surprised if EA reduced card weights to counteract the profits lost to coin sellers/auto buyers - I dont think they care about card pricing while they have a number of (practically limitless) ways of inticing pack buying...

Looking at this TOTW and there are so many cheap bargains to be had but I doubt they will go up in price.

SIF Matuidi absolutely destroyed the IF Matuidi market people lost over 100K in a night and is a lot cheaper than what his IF used to go for complete bargain imo
IF Garay = Vidic but better and is discard price
SIF Maicon also ridiculously cheap
IF Lichsteiner is discard price LMAO look at his stats the perfect RM for a 352
IF Santos = Neymar for 1/4 of the price

Yeah indeed. It's a possibility.

Of course the in form trading tip is hardly a secret I was more being tongue in cheek :). I started off without about 900k from my initial pack splurge (12000 points). I used this to trade up with. I've bought more packs after then but got nothing over 50k since that initial splurge.

I used that 900k as my base while just playing with a couple of cheapish teams.

Ibarbo is one of those players who I always underestimate and then he hurts me. Then I get wound up and lose. :D.
 
The market tonight might be even more crazy than Sunday, as the week goes on less and less people buy packs imo as they didn't resist the urge to open for the def/mids/att and are skint. Tonight though the 3 most expensive players are in packs together which is the highest chance of finding them, their cardweight will be lower on Sunday imo when all 11 are out.

I'll save 100k for the pack on Sunday but the rest of my splurge will be tonight.

Some one mentioned on EA forums that Bales hasn't been in packs ever since his IF was released. At the moment, Ibarbo has retired for me and been replaced by Balotelli :D Might be around tonight depending on what the wife is doing.

Played CKH4 last week and his lob through balls to Balotelli were crazy, couldnt muscle him off the ball. In my first game against him he didn't have a shot until 110 mins :eek::D
 
Yup probably more chance of winning the lottery.

Bateson went through 48k points in one sitting the other day and got nothing of notable worth.

Sorry my point about trading was a general point and not aimed at you - though try trading from 10k to make 900k then youll see how 'fun' it is ;). Money begets money as always...

I havent made my FUT life easy playing the mode the way I do, but I used to enjoy it as a whole as a challenge and made winning/owning certain players more sweeter. Now I know Ill never have the chance to make my personal ultimate team so its hard to be motivated to even try FUT sadly!

Some really good memories though amongst the many moans :):p

I think it's getting to that point personally for me as well whereby the levels of input needed to get to the levels I want are becoming out of reach. We'll see. I'll buy FIFA next year as I play a lot of Pro Clubs but will avoid FUT if the market is pathetic.

Balo is ridiculous. He used to do some crazy things for me.
 
Hmmmmm, decisions decisions. Spend the majority of points tonight and save 2000 for 100k pack on Sunday, or use all on Sunday??? It wouldn't surprised me if EA did lower card weights for Sunday...

They will lower the weights as I reckon a lot of packs will be opened on that day specifically with it having all the players regardless of how much money they spent during the week.

I have yet to open any packs at all this week apart from the free one.

I don't think I'll bother either I think it will soon be time to pack this fifa in, I'm enjoying other games a lot more tbh especially War Thunder
