FIFA 14

It's almost impossible to get good games with my team. Everyone either exploits or just cross spams / over the top through ball spams.

Worst FIFA in a long time IMO.

Although, paradoxically, I still enjoy it most of the time when I play. I put this down to avoiding FUT Seasons where it's 10 times worse.

ive finally got pretty despondent with ultimate team, im thinking of just binning it and trying some of the other modes - in regular seasons do you get as many exploiters? It just totally spoils the game.

i did say this fifa is terrible ages ago. it's not so much exploits that ruins it as you can usually defend against them, the engine and game mechanics are all over the place.

the normal game plays a lot better imo, it isn't all about pace like UT is.

i would just avoid ultimate team altogether and play the other game modes they are a lot better.

pro clubs is all i play now.

I am playing be a pro at the moment, am on loan at Wycombe from Arsenal in my first season. Playing as just a striker with AI team. It's a lot less intense. Found out I was getting warnings for swearing as the kinnect listens when you play. Turned that feature off after I was dropped from the squad because of it.

def agree with over the top through ball, def need to change it next time.

Doomedspeed- Thanks man, much appreciated.

Think im going to just play regular seasons im in div 5 upto yet and no where near the amount of cross spam, KO glitch and filthy play you see in FUT.

over the top through ball doesn't need changing it's the players ability to do them, their stats should be taken into account.

right now you can play a 60 yard over the top through ball perfectly from any angle on any players weak foot regardless of their stats.

whereas in real life theres a handful of players that could play such balls perfectly 9 times out of 10.

their should be some sort of calculation which takes place depending on the likelihood of that player being able to pull off such a pass then that effects where the ball ends up, apparently this was added to one of the older fifas and called it pro passing

"So what is Pro Passing? At its broadest level it’s a new contextual error system for the passing engine in Fifa11. But its scope is much wider than just adding error and clamping down on ping-pong. Pass speed, direction, player balance, bobble, curve, personality and weight are all now factors when trying to play the perfect pass."

http://fifasoccerblog.com/blog/pro-passing-a-thinking-mans-fifa/

"In simple no pressure situations the contextual error applied is minimal and for good reason. But when in difficult situations that assisted controls used to perfect with ease, the Pro Passing contextual error really comes in to play. The error is especially exaggerated when first time passing over long distances, not only can the direction become wayward but the pass power is also massively reduced. Allowing these loose passes to be easily picked off by the now more aware and savvy defenders. This forces you to reserve quick one touch exchanges for close build up but also to try and use the more skilled players when doing it."

there is no way this is in fifa 14, because defenders hit over the top through balls just as well as Xavi does, etc.

I think they took it out though because it wasn't noob friendly. Fifa is being marketed towards the masses which are mainly noobies. Their should be a "arcade" version for newbs and "simulation" version for enthusiasts imo.

I don't think the lobbed through ball should be nerfed completely, because ultimately it is sometimes a realistic and justifiable pass. Just like it can be used in real life.

But I agree that spamming it from 50 yards is rather pathetic.

Don't you find it comical when you put all the pressure on the player for 40 mins and all it takes from his defender is a miracle 60yard lob ball and his striker is 1 on 1?

Just bought Suarez whilst at work, I'll try it out and see if Aguaro needs purchasing.

Anyone play him on is own?

Squad at the moment:

Best get back to my job :p

Wassup.

Had the FIFA itch again the other day after taking a break, I sold Ronny and Ibra and invested in loads of IF players. One of whom was SIF Hazard, and then he has to go and score a hattrick at the weekend. Just gonna keep him and ride it out, hopefully EA don't want loads of extra cash and he's not in the TOTW ( :D )

There are many more deserving people for an IF than Messi for putting 2 goals past one of the plethora of generally bad Spanish League placeholders.

Although, he is to EA what Guarin is to Sonny, so who knows!

I've been playing around with a 4231 (LM and RM) as I've always hated it in the past but wanted to give it another go. I'd always found it really poor going forward, but I've been having more luck with it this time round. SIF Suarez in the centre CAM position has been by far the best player. IF Eto'o is great, SIF Hazard is OK, IF Navas OK, SIF Cabaye great, IF Sakho great, IF Hart... both incredible and terrible. Just like any other keeper I guess :D

Sevilla aren't bad!

And they played well - they were unlucky to only score one. Looks like you didn't watch the game :p.
