FIFA 14

Game makes me laugh at times :D. Played a random online match and the opponent had a typical bundes team with all the pacey players. Straight from kick off its was gonna be one of those games where the sprint,contain and cross spam were the norms of the game. Game ended 0-0 and he chose to play for a draw :( But apparently im not very good at the game because football isn't about keeping possession to make a chance, its all about sprinting as fast as you can and cross spamming for strikers.
 
To be fair while I don't condone cross spamming, holding the ball for the sake of it just waiting for a mistake is just as sweaty as cross spamming.

It's a game at the end of the day. People are free to play it how they want to gain enjoyment. I don't see one as worse as the other just different ways to skin a cat. I'd probably say that people who hold the ball for no reason other than to wind you up into a mistake are more annoying to me than cross spammers. It can just kill the fun out of the game.

Pretty much this. I really do dislike cross spamming but in a sense I can see why people do it. Cutting in is pretty pointless as it never works, it is easier to just to whip the ball in to the box and if you have a striker with good heading ability why not use him to that strength?

I've scored a Lot of goals with Ibra from headers.... Dem corners!
 
I have nothing against people using crosses as a valid oppotunity, i do and don't feel bad for it.

As you know, the annoyance is when the player use his pacey wingers to run to the line and thats all they do all game. Interspersed with other types of play is fine, its just when that is all they do, chance after it chance, it gets really annoying.

Yeah that's one of my major bug bears this year - last year wide play was balanced in that you could have skilled wide play whereas this year it's just a case of waiting for the full back to tuck in like they always do and then through ball down the wing, cross, goal. There's no real skill in wide play this year and even if you did do a bit of skilled wide play it would just get put under the same "cross lol" banner that all wide play does.
 
The only things that majorly bugged me about FIFA 13 were:

a) the ease at which cut back opportunities presented themselves
b) the fact you could do sprinting scoop turns or other skill moves while holding down sprint

But overall 13 was massively better than 14 IMO. 12 was better than 13 by a small margin IMO but not the difference between 13 and 14.

The most damning thing you can say about 14 is that most of the time when you're playing people online the game represents nothing like an actual football game. It's pathetic.

Since changing jobs, not really. :p

I'm used to only getting 2 hours or so of gaming done per day so it's nice when you have time to just do anything you want. Girlfriend feels neglected though. :rolleyes::p
 
Think I have been one of most active on FUT on XBO. Only game worth playing though to be fair :p

Got someone called OLD GREGG on my friends list who is literally on it 24/7. Honestly don't think I have ever seen him not on it. Not sure if he is a OcUKer

I've played my fair share and more this year I think, just passed 600 wins :eek: we need some games this w/e, they are usually pretty close!
