FIFA 14

I cant deal with the WC game so much lob ball over the top which defenders just stand and watch drives me crazy!

Also these packs that they give you for opening thr WC packs are just a waste 150 packs opened and got Evre,Kroos,Villa,De Gea, Griezmann,Lukaku, Casillas and Hart thats it maybe worth 14k max, took me ages to open.

after they scored 1 I would have resorted to playing keep ball tbh, drawing them out and then exploiting the spaces when pushing forward.

would have also switched to defensive.

Found the WC mode to be way too laggy and bugged. I was attacking my opponent in his penalty area and Walcott lost the ball. Not a big problem but then all of a sudden the ref blew his whistle, so i obviously thought i had a PK for some kinda of lame foul but no........................ The ref blew the whistle for a free kick to the opponent for ........wait for it............. a foul on his own player. Yes his defender slid into another one of his defenders and it was a foul to him.

Thats my problem to a degree, I've never even touched a PS4 pad, but the PS3 one has put me right off them, so much so that I had that PS360 pad made for me.

I dunno, I miss the social a bit, but half of it is down to the XBONEs friend matches on there needing a degree in astrophysics to even get the game setup!

Switched straight to defensive at half time. My players just turned to complete slop.. the 4th goal was because i was too busy trying to find where my batteries landed. 5th n 6th because i was too busy thinking about how to murder and dispose of my xbox.

Tim, you are not wrong about getting into a game with friends. Infact i think we have failed 3-4 times haven't we? Absolutely useless friendly match making system.

Its as good as the XO controller, honestly Andybstn POV seems myopic

That is fifa aids for you, you really need to battle against the engine not to lose when you go ahead sometimes.

This forces me to completely change my style of play and resort to possession football instead of attacking football. It's hard to keep possession though because every pass they make is now slack and their first touch non existent. So if they get too close I just hoof a long over the top ball to my strikers.

It's the engine/mechanics forcing me to play that way rather than how I want to play.

I would prefer if it was purely based on gameskill and no hidden mechanics within the game trying to balance things out.
 
I prefer the PS4 pad, can't stand the XB1 LB/RB buttons - maybe I'll give the XB1 another shot come FIFA15 but for the most part it's been collecting dust ever since the PS4 arrived :/
 
Yeah the DS4 is superb. Strangely it feels nicer to use the more I use it. I bought a blue one as well so the rubber on the sticks hasn't even started to degrade either. They definitely use better rubber on separately sold pads which is a bit of a shambles really.

i have been through 3 pads now and 2 of them were bought separately.

Scored such a nice goal in Pro Clubs last night.

I think ps3ud0 passed it to me. I did an R2 stop with my back to goal (was RF ish position). Sombrero flick over the onrushing defender (forward, forward, back) then body feint inside the box past a defender onto my legendary 5* weak foot, heel to heel 4* past the next defender then a left foot finesse into the side netting.

I like FIFA when it's like that. I don't likeit when people launch L1 + triangles with CBs and get in on goal :p.

Nah, just my opinion. I can't stand the position of the analogue sticks.

Dan is right about the shoulder buttons being horrendous on the One pad, still it's a perfect size for my hands.

I'm a bit anal about my records on FIFA despite it being poor this year so the fact they took friendles out with friends just ruined the whole culture of trying out teams against mates, now you need to make sure fitness is 99, yada, yada, yada.

Until the day I can't find a game on the Xbox I won't consider a PS for FIFA.

Fair enough, mate. I think most of us are sensible enough to understand that things like the controller are subjective in their entirety. Especially if you've tried both.

We'll nab Tim and then try to change your mind again :D.
