FIFA 18

Just back from holiday, popped in to local 24 hour Tesco for milk and stuff and a queue of approx 50 people were in line for FIFA 18

Crazy...is it really that different from FIFA 17 that you need to play it from midnight?

Griezmann had 28 goals in 27 games but missed far too many chances, plus having no right foot sucks against decent players.

Cannot wait for the first patch.

Whats more baffling is why don't they just buy digital and not have to queue up for it!

Other games I understand where they will hold their value and last for years but by the time they finished with this ,in 8 month max, it will be worth £2 trade in.

Agreed Griezmann is pants this year :-(

What are your expectations for this patch ? I've played about 50 games, few games with Quinaay and its fine. A few minor bugs like an Asian Ref with a white head and the hoof over the top seems to be back. Could that be them having high pressure set in tactics as I've only managed it once?

Seems perfectly fine to me, sure exploits will come out in time but it is a video game so there is always going to be exploits. Defending isn't anything revolutionary it just back to defending like in 15 IIRC, I'm no world beater so clearly the principle easier than putting it into practice :)

One thing I have noticed with this being the first time I have managed to play this pre release its a very pleasant experience online no stupid celebrations time wasting, I'm expecting that to return today once the kids start playing :(
 
Current Squad. Ben Arfa is really good for me at the minute. Marquinhos, Jovetic and Alves were packed. Gonna see how far I can get before I spend big and try and get all my coin boosts used up. Fabinho is a brilliant CM/CDM for relatively a small amount of coins

Waiting for a good price on a digital version to come up, I remember last year was loads few days before release but nothing this year. Hopefully something will show on MM, no way am I paying £58 on the Xbox Store!

i've been a release day Fifa buyer since day one, but i'm in your position now. I also went back from the trial to FUT Draft on Fifa 17, and the difference was night and day I had an absolute blast on Fifa 17.

The turning circle and speed of players in 18 just feels very sluggish, like the player is on a depressant drug or something.
 
18 is probably better than 17 IMO, takes some getting used to its far from easy but its a fantastic game the most complete package to date with some great little tweaks. I still suck compared to 17 but ill learn.

due to the price i'm not sure i want to give myself the opportunity to learn when I feel 17 is much more fun. :(

I'd echo that, but as someone previously said I can see some serious rage in the WL because of the way you have to defend one mistake and its a goal, as I found to my cost last night.
 
I'm not sure I'm going to bother with it this year, usually I buy it year on year and after playing the demo I didn't feel enough had progressed to make it a worthwhile upgrade.

Oh sorry, they moved Oxlade Chamberlain to Liverpool, that was possibly the most notable!

Plays very different to the demo now..
