Caved, bought £28 of packs, got Sanchez, Martial and Thiago Silva - the most ridiculous pack luck from those Premium Players ones.

Got 350k to play with... wow. Not a clue what to go for.

what formations are people using? I'm having mixed success with 4321.

433 and 41212. I've mostly been playing squad battles though.

41212(2) against most, changing to 4231 if I'm struggling to contain some wide formations.

I was wrong about crossing there’s some people who are extremely effective at it especially with the lay off run on the edge of the area.

Also seems to be some near post cross tactic that results in a goal quite often when done correctly.

Still absolutely hate defending, it's just so awkward and unresponsive. Even when you can read exactly what an opponent is going to do, you just can't react and get players in the right position in time.

Going to watch some YTers and see what I'm doing wrong but just not enjoying the gameplay at all, even with the cash injection.

Is the web app way faster than ingame or on the phone? I’m trying to buy some consumables and the listings have all expired even though I’ve just done a search and tried to buy it immediately... annoying.

Sod it going to do Mane SBC, all the you tube reviews rave about him.

Futbin reckons it's 250k probably do it Monday morning when everyone offloading make it a bit cheaper.

Fair chunk to put into an untradeable but any comparable card is the same or more so not bad value.

The weekend league has just made me hate it all over again

absolute cancer, long shots, goal keepers and 1-2 spam is killing me. Sacked it off and focused on Elite for Squad battles.

It does make sense to build a squad around those initial players you've packed yep. Make sure and try and work towards the starter objectives and the entry level squad building challenges also as they're designed to help you build up a workable squad for little cost. I wouldn't go out and buy any more bronze/silver players though as you'll be able to pick up gold players for 300/350 coins at each position anyway and there's a marked difference in quality when you're playing with them.

Same issue in the web app. Do people have bots bidding on stuff?! I'm trying to buy some CDM>CM cards for example and all of the ones under 3k are pretty much impossible to 'buy now' :/

Have they speeded it up again? I've not only won a few games since the patch but I've won more than I've lost.

Passing and possession is far easier when the game's not played at 100 MPH although buying slower players with high passing stats leaves me open to defeat against anyone abusing pace, which is most people I've played
