I'm unsure on long shots, my keeper seems to save them all, have you got any clips of them to see what angles they are shooting from? After thinking about it more, it seems AI doesn't do a great deal until you are in the penalty box then it seems to tackle for you.

Best results for me are second man press and then block the passing lanes, one thing you do have to give EA some credit for is when you tell a player to stay back they actually stay back now!

Pretty sure when we've played you scored a couple, a few of my mates do it every single time doesn't matter what angle the player helps though I.e dybala Lukaku etc.

I played 13 games in the weekend league set off 5-1 and went down hill from there. Was busy and focused on SBs instead.

When Lukaku comes down (my missing peice to my new team) I'll give you another game. Won't be playing this weekend either don't think due to Working weekend unless I get qualified and play Friday.

Picked up Morata and Diego Costa. Costa doesn't seem to be popular but he should be lethal around the box. An 86 striker for sub 40k seems reasonable? I'll see which I prefer.

Had costa as a loan player, was average for me. Non OTW Morata isn't that good I found prefer firminho but ymmv.

Basically who was useless on 17 is still useless now it seems.

i got morata in my original packs with the game, i sold him for 60k at the time and got costa. Costa is the better player IMO. Scored loads more for me , hes silly good at holding off defenders. I have Son down the left and Silva down the right, i quite often score by a long ball up to costa who holds up the ball and plays a through ball to one of the wingers.
Rooneys also contributing to a goal a game. brilliant finese shot from outside of the box.

I'm impressed with rooney this year. He was garbage last year. Darmian is my favourite LB in the prem league which he wasn't last year (he a rb IIRC just not a very good one)

With the Hunter card, Costa should be quick too (combined with his strength).

Low agility stat will still make him feel sluggish, you may get on fine with him though if you like hold up players, it’s pretty easy to win pens this year if you get the knack of LT holding correctly.
