You won't get players like Henry/Ronaldo/Maradonna until the new year, and even then they'll cost an absolute arm and a leg.

Another day, another BPM grind/squad issues/WL rewards, ah.
 
No idea what they've done on this update or whether it was luck. But I qualified for my first weekend league (tried twice before, both lost in final) this time I won 5-1, 5-0, 6-2 and 4-1 just felt easier? I've been warned weekend league will be tough but so far my record online is something like 143 wins and 32 losses so fingers crossed.

I did previously mention Dybala was terrible, however bringing him back from ST to CAM has changed that massively.
 
I fight the urge weekly to pump points into the game for icons, come up against Viera in draft and it always makes me want him, watching Tass get top 100 with a 100k team backs up the fact that it's skill at the end of the day but he admitted himself it's much, much easier with the best players in the game.
 
Gorilla going 13-3 with a 100k team then switching to his mega team which he gets 40-0 with highlights the fact the players are a huge improvement over normal cards.
 
It's probably a mental thing, if you could play with players where you had no idea who they were (except silver/bronze) there probably wouldn't be that much of a difference.

When people play mega teams their confidence will just drop and think they will get defeated. I tend to not look at the team I play and it helps me :p
 
This is my current team. I'm concerned that against better players this formation might have trouble defensively and Neymar will be marginalised. David Luiz is the best defender I've used so far and the rest of the defence is very solid.

Early impressions of Rui Costa are very good, he's fairly quick and strong, but his passing and ranged shooting are amazing. I'm wondering whether it's worth ditching Neymar for someone cheaper and perhaps getting Prime Del Piero to have up front instead of Larsson, but I need to work out the cost. Mbappe is the most effective striker I've seen at getting in behind, so quick and excellent finishing.

Got about 200k to play around with but I'm really happy with the back 4 apart from Rose, CMs just don't seem particularly important and the top 3 are great soooo... thoughts/comments please:

Walker - Azpi - Bailly - Rose
Sanches - Bakayo - Gueye
Mané - Jesus - Hazard
