This is the team I've decided to make:

One issue is the lack of height in midfield, I'd rather have Nainggolan than Kante but I have no way of fitting him in.

I like a few of the Serie A midfielders, but I don't see a way of getting them in very easily either.

Only played a couple of games so far (need loyalty bonuses hence the 6 & 9 chem's) but Bale seems good, super fast and brutal low driven shots with great power, doesn't get pushed around either.

Not decided on chemistry styles for Vidal and Kante yet, I'll probably just go with Shadow as I need them to be good at chasing people down, the attack takes care of itself.

I'd also like to swap Rui Costa for either Bergkamp or Del Piero, would need to downgrade a couple of positions to do it though.

De Bruyne instead of Kante, Nainggolan instead of Bakayoko and Francky Dury with a La Liga card as manager?

Nainggolan and De Bruyne would end up being on 8 chem with loyalty.

Edit: Just realised VVD will be getting a Liverpool card soon. I no longer have to play Lovren in my Liverpool team alongside Gomez

@Robbo do you not start in a different formation and switch in-game to that? I can't imagine investing in Ronaldo and then playing him off chem! Would give you a lot more room for manouver in terms of chem links too if you could basically use any 433/4321 to make the team fit?

I got Ronaldo untradeable in a pack! Before that I had him in the team though, so I could sell him and get my coins back.

I can’t be bothered switching formations, when it comes to the absolute best players, 7 and 10 chem don’t make a noticeable difference. I’ve tried Ronaldo on both, and he seems the same. Absolutely lethal.

I normally use 41212(2), but with the central CM set to stay back I’m hoping 4312 will function the same...

I can't play with this midfield, people are just waltzing through it. :mad:

Anyone using Petit? I like a big CDM and Bakayoko is boring me to tears.

Pretty sure you could use 433 Or 4321 and get 10 chem on those players?

How much coins you got spare?

If you go 4321 with Scream Benzema up front, Ronaldo left, bale right and then rui as the CM or drop rui and buy Petit as the CM so you can semi retire Icon bakayoko keep Vidal as left and Kante as right CM. all perfect chem.

Edit as soon as Neymar sells im.buying bale as RF in this formation

Ronaldo is too good, man. I did one of those panic player switch things where they end up chipping it and he still scores. Be gutted to sell him before TOTY arrives.

Played alright in the WL yesterday and absolutely awful today , most of my games I’ve been behind I. A couple of minutes . Sacked it off for now

I’ve found Rui Costa to be pretty under whelming. Never seems to be anywhere near the penalty box.

At CAM? You have to use him there, I dropped him to CM a few times and he's not good. I am tempted to swap him for Del Piero or Bergkamp though, I think Del Piero seems more likely...

Had a chance of Top 100 in Squad Battles this week after 32/32 wins. I was only 1370 points outside with a game to play against a 63 rated bronze team. Top 100 dreams over for another week... 9-0 loss.

Nope, my team was just nerfed and they played like Icons. I hadn't conceded more than a goal in any game up to that point and probably less than 10 in total. Had hopes of another comfortable win and 2600-2800 points but the AI had better ideas. I've been on the end of a few hammerings on Ultimate but nothing this bad.

Still, I've already got Elite 1 for the week so no more games :cool:

There’s 45 games in the full week schedule so if you’ve stopped at 32 you will be well short of elite 1 by midnight?

I'm not, or at least I wasn't, good enough to get Gold 3 in the WL and the rewards I can get for Elite 2/1 in Squad Battles are better than those I can get for finishing Silver 1 in the WL. It's also less games and less stress at the weekend

Scores have been down for the last few weeks so I'm hoping just over 80,000 will be enough. If not, I'll try and win one after 4PM.
