Don’t think this iteration is any worse or better than 17,18 or 19. Same stuff really ai lunges, ai auto clearances etc.

Thinking about it more I reckon I only play to the do the Messi celebration to the camera when he’s a got a hat trick.

I need a hobby I think, I hate cyclists though

17, 18 and 19 I could play religiously every night, despite the flaws I found it actually 'fun', they've made this game something where you can't relax and play, you need to sit 5cm from the screen and just sweat it out. It's just boring regardless of winning/losing.

I do get what you mean about FIFA, my problem is I still like gaming but only football games interest me. I’ve had red dead 2 for 14 months and it’s still in its shrink wrap

Same here, FIFA and COD have been my only played games for the past decade. The latter is also getting pretty tedious, maybe time to hang up my controller!

Draft is actually the fun mode. I might just concentrate on trying to play that midweek.

For me the gameplay is too slow/defensive based, everyone in div 3 and above plays to hold the ball for as long as they possibly can and try sneak a 1-0 win. What ever happened to a fun attacking football game ?

That is what I mean, it's just a bore. I think anyone who typically played me throughout all the FIFA knew my style and over the years its become apparent it doesn't suit the game anymore, I would deem the way I played fun, I have to switch my style for WL so compete and I do well but it's boring, passing sideways/backwards, rolling the ball backwards, no pressing of run fast, never shooting outside the box, etc etc.
I should be able to switch off from this mode in rivals which is supposed to be a fun mode, but everyone just replicates the WL style, it's just too much. And yeah its terrible in Div 3, you feel mentally drained after one game!

What happened to different ways of playing? I remember in an old FIFA, diva infuriating everyone abusing crossing when headers were actually a way of scoring, there was tiki taka, passing, the patient games to exploit defences or just pure counter attacking (my style) and abusing pace. Now there is just one way to compete, it the equivalent of COD and everyone using the M4A1

Apparently I played FIFA 19 for 27 days...although 305 hours were online gaming, which is 12 days. I didn't play much offline so I assume when I left the PS4 on it counted all that. I do leave it on a game quite a bit..

Nearly 7 days on 20 so far.

But a lot of the time is probably time you had the game on but wandered off etc.. I know I've left Fifa on for like 10 hours at a time going back for a game every few hours or somesuch

I'm just doing online drafts, its a fun mode although the players available are not varied enough so at the moment everyone has a similar team, just different formation.

Not sure what it was last night, but everyone I played was like playing @Andybtsn ! Really fast hard attacks, pushing everyone forward and just hammering at my defense, was this playstyle used at the EA online streamy thingy at the weekend? Very rarely do I see people playing THAT aggressive, then 4 in a row last night!

I love how you reference to my style that was probably a decade ago now, when we were both young whipper snappers!

I think the CR7 project isn't working, he has 18 in 30 which was a lot more than I thought he had, Mbappe and Neymar were more than a goal a game up top though and they just felt better to use. Frees me up to get rid of Cuadrado too, lol. Who are a good ST - RW strong link? Not icons!

96 Zidane was the most underwhelming player in Drafts both being used and playing against.

I went back to rivals midweek after the patch and was enjoying it actually, I can't really tell whats changed, maybe it's nice just going back to my team after playing drafts so much.

IF Mane, I love, even at right mid he's such an asset. Salah is okay on the other side and its nice having someone who can score at CM in KDB. Ronaldo felt like such a bottle neck in my team, maybe my fault for trying to play everything through him. Neymar and Mbappe up top just work so well together despite being very similar.

Bench I wish I could get him in. TBH Doucoure isn't there because he's a club player, he's a really good all rounder. I've tried Kante and Pogba and prefer Doucoure!

I love how EA have made this community even more retarded than it was. Because I play rivals to get some games in and play to win I get abuse for not doing the objectives. I'm guessing there is some crossing objective as I'm playing against constant crosses!

I literally dont bother with any objectives, just try and win. Majority of the rewards dont seem worth it.....though possibly worthwhile to some.
