FIFA 20

So started 14-0 yesterday so thought I would push for Elite since its Prem tots this week, wish I would have just stuck with my original to get 14 wins. Today I went 3-13 and just scrapped Gold 2 on the last game, I have no idea how I can go from 14-0 to 3-14 in the space of 1 day.
 
When gameplay is bad this game just feels like a battle of attrition. Its like two punch drunk boxers, both completely gassed, just swinging and hoping for either a mistake or a lucky hit to win the fight. I went from 15-4 to 17-8 yesterday just slogging through that pain and suffering.
 
Went 4-1 Friday, 8-5 on Saturday (12-6 overall).
Just won 2 more to go 14-6. That's my best ever record up to 14 wins (I'm usually only just over 50% win rate, have scraped Gold 2 a few times).
So 10 games to get 3 wins, seems like it should be doable, but I can see it all going wrong. Highest ELO/Form I've ever been playing at...

14 wins and 5 games left. Not worth doing any more, played well today.
 
Atrocious game and losing to even worse players. I think I must have lost 8 in a row. I think I'm going to sack it all off after this weekend, sell all my players and buy packs so I can't be tempted back :p

I honestly have no idea what this game has over me and why I just can't give it up, I force myself to play the WL in hope I get some crazy reward, but 8 months later it still hasn't happened. I don’t tend to get raged but the things I have seen happen today are unreal. I’m not a bad player but cannot lower myself to what the game/dynamics force you to do in order to stay competitive.

I think I will just continue with online drafts, I enjoy that mode and it's usually a level playing field for both player and their teams. Also just normal online clubs is more than enough. I'm sick and tired of FUT.

ouch thats rough. I was 9-3 yesterday so ha da feeling i was going to have a rough time today. I got 8-8 today to end with g2 but it was stressful at times.
 
Currently playing the most toxic game of my life. He's watching every single replay, he's scored 4 kick off goals and shushed each time and we're currently at around 30 minutes of playing time.

Edit: PIM Rush with the winner in the 122nd minute, this man is lethal :cool:

I know and worst thing is I’ve still got to finish my nephews games for him. Played some this morning and went 7-0 but after my games I fearing a real slog to get to 14 wins.
 
I didn't think I'd make it to 14, some of the games were simply horrendous, but I kept forcing myself to forget the previous game and managed to play a lot better.

Aren't games supposed to be fun? How do we let EA get away with it, football I guess.

its so addictive. In an even game if it means a win to move up a rank i get mad adrenaline rushes but i keep coming back for more.
 
16-4 to 18-11 in 3 hours. Same playstyle every time and some added BS thrown in for good measure, apart from one game where I rightfully lost. Couldn't pass, everything slow and delayfest

They used to be fun, it all stopped after 16.
 
Nice, just lost another penalty shootout because my centrally aimed penalty went way past the post :o

Edit: The level of toxicity in every match is disgusting. World would be a far better place if 99% of the Fifa community dropped dead tomorrow.
 
G2 with 3 games left.

The gameplay has been awful though this weekend. Mainly ridiculous rebounds and stupid passes not going where I'm aiming.
 
Decided to stop at 17-8, which is my best result to date in WL. Well I did get to 18 wins once, but I played all 30 games (it was when they did the red pick packs at 10/18/24).
Not worth the stress of playing on, realistically Gold 1 ain't happening.
 
Saudi TOTSSF confirmed for tomorrow. Looking foward to Söyüncü and Henderson in the reds on Thursday. :rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
Too many promos for me these days. Barely have time to settle a team in.

Dribbling is too good, even with crap players. Dragbacks are stupid, even with 1* defenders. Improbable goals happen too often.
