FIFA 20

Got Gold 2 with my last game, but man it's exhausting. Main problem for me in the 352 is CBs being too close or too far apart, and either my strikers not finishing simple shots or unable to beat a crowed defence, typically 6 or so men around the box...

I’m not impressed with TOTS Mane either. Nowhere near as good as I was expecting. Hopefully he’ll come good somehow...

My 96 POTM Messi is insane though, has won me hundreds of games on his own.
 
Where do you play him? I've kept to the same formation (442) and tactics that got me Gold 2 for the last two weeks and Messi's absolutely lost out wide (4 goals and 3 assists in 15 so far). Salah in comparison, destroyed defenders last weekend.

Which version of Messi and which version of Salah?
I think NIF Messi is the next person I need to upgrade.

Both TOTS versions. Got Messi in my red picks so felt obligated to force him in my team and he's been a massive disappointment so far.

Got Mid Dalglish and PIM Rush upfront and they're lethal so it would have to be CAM, just need to work out how to fit them all in.
 
I'm having some serious issues tackling, my tackles feel under powered, no latching and also having a lot of tackles being over shot and there attacker gliding through it. I've got it in my head Ramos on 7 chem is far worse than baby Rio.

I've came across red 99 Messi and the guy literally was untouchable. After the laggy mess of a start going 8-7 im now 17-8.

Edit: finished gold 1, not bad considering that terrible gameplay.

Rather annoyingly, Messi has come to life as a CAM. 3 goals and 3 assists in 3 games which is only one less goal than his previous 15 games :mad:

I won't sell my club and build a team around him, nope.

One of my better results but there were very few easy wins this weekend, I just had to sweat it out. I hate sweaty Fifa.

Not sure if Gold 1 is worth the stress and probable disappointment when I fail to get it.
 
Just lost 3 out of 4, Daniel James played in all 3 and scored 7 goals against me including 2 headers. That's the 11th time I've faced him in 22 games, I've faced only 2 TOTS wingers in all of those games.

Edit: 30 games, Messi scored 9 and had 9 assists. Bit better at CAM but still the biggest letdown all year. Dalglish is far better at ST but even as a CAM he feels way more nimble to use.

Won my last 3 games to get Gold 2 but this was by far the sweatiest week so far.

I didn't even get 14 wins, the game ILO screwed me, I kept getting matched against superior players, I even raged quit against someone and then matched him again 3 games later, absolute shambles. Pretty embarrassing not to get it though.
The very few players I have that are tradeable have been sold :p

Messi is insane this year, the card almost does it himself. Finesse on his strong foot and it's a goal.
 
Grinded to Elite 1 in Squad Battles, mostly because I've been lazy doing Icon Swaps and want to get Maldini sorted this week.

Got nothing but Alex Sandro; was quite perplexed to see that he still goes for 18k...

Stop playing your games at 3AM in the morning. I finished around 12:30AM and you still had 15 games left :p

Also, stop quitting your games, it doesn't change your ELO when you do that. I do it all the time in Rivals and I have ridiculous losing streaks, haven't done it once in the weekend league for weeks and after a couple of defeats it gets way easier.

His shooting is amazing, it's getting him in to position to have the shot that's the problem. Everyone's running 7ft monster CDMs and as soon as they get close to him he gets knocked off the ball.

I don’t find my 96 version weak, but obviously you don’t want to be inviting challenges from powerful CDM’s etc.
