I played 3x red TOTS CR7’s last WL.

I’ve played the majority of WL’s the past 3 years and my best red has been Zaha from community TOTS this year (can’t remember anyone better). It’s pathetic.

It makes me sick when I see most teams I played so many red if mbappe and red 93 Neymar and red 99 KDB/Messi last weekend. Honestly some accounts are blessed, usually the ones who aren't very good or are brand new accounts.

Id love to see the algorithm. There is absolute no way after playing every single weekend you don't hit a top card if it was purely RNG

I completely agree, last year playing every single weekend league, the best player I hit prior to ultimate TOTS was 84 Lala. Ultimate TOTS I hit TOTS CR7 but by that point the game was dead anyway.

This year the only red pick that has got near my team is Ter Stegen, everything else has been gash.

There is some sort of weighting on red picks where your chances of a decent pick decrease the more active you are on the game.

Lets keep track this weekend as a little experiment, work out the value of your best red pick, and compare that to the value of the best red pick on the other team. I reckon I'll win less than 10% of the time.

I also agree there’s definitely an algorithm that defines who you get, it will be the same with packs

I bet most players with good red picks literally just play weekend league and don’t even load the game in between
 
I think it's a mixture of luck and EA trying to pull people back in to the game that haven't played for a while.

I've got red Messi and Ter Stegen in my team, but they're the only two usable players I've pulled in 9 weekend leagues, and I've packed Diego Carlos and Atal from my guaranteed league packs.

On the flip side, I opened over 350 packs during BPL TOTS and only packed TOTS Alisson and I've opened nearly 400 during Ligue 1 TOTS and only pulled Marquinhos and Slimani 3 times.
 
My best red picks have been:
TOTS Mane
TOTS Griezmann
TOTS Oblak
TOTS Vardy
TOTS Manolas

Got Kroos and Trent Alexander-Arnold from guaranteed TOTS packs.

Got TOTS Benzema from LaLiga 2-player upgrade pack.

And Koeman from IconSwap Prime Icon pack.

I'm not sure if that would be considered a good haul.

Only other notable pulls I think have been NIF Messi, Mid Icon Larsson and TOTY Van Dijk.

Only bothered up to G3.

Di Maria and Lala. That's pretty good. Not sure they'll fit though as I have Carvajal and Sancho in those positions already.
