What formations are you using? I thought 41212 (2) was ideal for me but struggling now to create enough opportunities
 
I like the balance of 4231 Narrow atm, but still unsure. Have just changed up my entire team as it's pointless having all your coins in a couple of players when you need all of them in the WL trenches :o
 
The first 5 games of Fut Champs are a lottery, you could face good players, you could face crap. After that it should start to even out, try and persevere fella, it'll balance itself out. 8 wins is decent enough to start with, then go again next week and see if you can improve.

My team is worth circa 4 mil and I'm only aiming for 11 this week.

Its not so much the balance, its like I am creating chances and not finishing them, defending pretty well, they create a single chance from a defensive slip or something and score. Pff.

Also lost 2 on penalties, need to practice those. :p
 
How are people finding the new free-kick system?
I've now scored 2 (in Squad Battles), which is probably closing in on my total from Fifa 19 already.

I'm not a fan of the system in Penalties though, I'm not good enough with the thumbsticks to be accurate enough aiming and keeping it steady.
 
Problem with penalties is still the head movement, I'm fine with the freekick system, banged a few, shanked many more, but at least they're scorable again.
 
It seems if you play anything outside of the online modes then FIFA 20 is a buggy mess.

Jim Sterling's latest video trashes it. I noticed earlier some tweets about how broken the career mode is.

Yeah, you're right 11 is Silver 1 isn't it, 14 is Gold 3 (I should know, Gold 3 is the best I managed in Fifa 19).
So yeah, need 14 win to auto qualify, unless you're in a high enough Div that you get 500 WL points for rivals rewards too.
 
Finished on 8-2. Debatable losses on both occasions but thats FIFA, there will be many more to come this weekend. Gold 1 is the objective, some dudes are so silky with dribbling this year, you know when your in for a game immediately.
