FIFA 21

I was awful this week, ended up rage selling large aspects of my team after hitting 11-7. Played a few more with my untradeables and finished 14-7 but the team just didn't work for me.

I think the fact I was continuing to use 352 really didn't help, now that even little timmy has figured out the through ball meta its just too open.

I'm going to sit out the next few weekend leagues (or play with my untradeables) - the coin loss from trying new cards is insane.
 
Found it fairly difficult this weekend (17-11) but that was always going to be the case switching from meta players to ones without 5-star skills.

I've been learning the directional nutmeg and it's probably the stupidest move I've ever seen in a FIFA. The acceleration boost looks so stupid and the amount of glitch throughs you get from it is daft.

I wish I'd started using TOTY VVD earlier though, the man is a bully and seems to get away with loads of naughty challenges. 7 headers scored from corners in 28 games as well.

TOTS Salah is a weird one, moments of brilliance with some nice animations but it got to the point I had to stop shooting on his right even if it looked like it was on, feels like a 1* weak foot.

I hate the patches which make the game worse
I hate auto blocks
I hate dumb goal keepers

I think I've got it all there

Why do I keep playing this?

I hate how bad through balls are under 15 yards
I hate how bad manual tackles are and how unrewarding it is defending yourself.
I hate this skill cancel tripe
I hate the bridge
I hate direction nutmeg

I share this sentiment - i also conceded numerous goals this weekend where I had a connection issue (red bar at the top of the screen) and by the time the game caught up the ball was in the back of the net
 
Also 17-7 this weekend with an untradeable team. Isak and benzema with 70 odd goals between them.

I have to agree, the nutmeg is the dumbest animation on fifa in a long time. Much worse than the el tornado cross from yester year.

There's always 1 (or 2) moves isn't there? El Tornado and La Croqueta from 19, drag-back from 20 and it seems the bridge and directional nutmeg in 21.
Wonder what 22 will have?

Don't know why anyone would do the flashback either really, 1 more pace and the majority of the big stat upgrades are in shooting... this company surely loves to troll its playerbase.
 
I dunno, Brewster, Jones, Robben, Tavernier were all great, they just got obsolete quickly due to too many promos. Aguero and Rooney great, though expensive. Bale is decentish.
 
I don't think I've ever seen that Brewster card being used, maybe in a friendly for an objective or something. The other ones mentioned are all solid though.

What's considered a usable player is going to come down to the players you've already got. People rocking Neymar, Mbappe, CR7 etc early on are unlikely to pump 500k+ into an SBC player.
 
They really need to lower the overall stats of cards, which gives much greater headroom for incremental upgrades over the year, and plan them more carefully.

They also need to make weakfoot a stat out 100 rather than just 5 stars, it's too strong, same for skill moves really.

People shouldn't be running around with some random 5*/5* pace merchant over Messi, makes no sense.

3 or 4 sbcs out of how many over priced and/or rubbish ones? We've had so many crap/unusable/pointless sbcs this years. It's the middle of May and yes we're getting more sbcs now, but the most of them are for average players and are massively over priced. I'm scared to think of what other content that remove/make worse for fifa 22.

Also did anybody else see the 5x83+ pack? 85 rated team and 2xtotw/tots.. Wtf :D
 
Yeah totally done now, for the 50th time, fed up of the second half being a completely different game and my players going to **** for no reason. Team deleted, uninstalled. :)

EA Play Pro cancelled. Some fun was had but the myriad of issues have drowned most of the decent bits.
