I don't expect them to be perfect, I do however expect them to be at least competent in their chosen profession. Or is that too much to ask, you know, considering they're being paid?

The whole cliche of it's a 'difficult job' doesn't wash, i've got a difficult job but you don't see me making monumental **** ups week in, week out. If I did, i'd be out on my ear. It's called work.

Can't say I agree in honesty, they're pretty much all dross.

Some of the worst refereeing we've seen in world cups has been from premiership refs, and yes, we see wrong offside calls, cheap penalties and cheap freekicks for goalkeepers all the time in the prem league.

Of course they are, they only use the best and highest qualified refs in the world cups!!

Yeah, that's why I just find it bizarre, supposed to be the prestige tournament and it's seemingly reffed by amateurs (as yet again another good goal is disallowed).

Yesterday officiating was bad but, although not an excuse, you could feel the intense pressure of the crowd (and hope it was a one off!!).

Today though there have been too many bad calls already.

I hope this cup is not remembered for the officiating!
