I think that has raised my excitement for the world cup, the first two games were a bit crap frankly, no really good goals, bitty play, lots of cheating, some poor decisions, but just not exciting football. That really was just brilliant to watch.
The more I think about it, the more I think Xavi just did nothing, there is this thing where if players are great, at international level managers are very VERY slow to stop playing them. England with the older players for donkeys years. I think a result like this could easily be the push a manager needs(and probably the fans not minding) to drop Casillas, Xavi, Alonso, all three being terrible. Iniesta barely did anything, Costa.... very difficult, he cheated for the penalty and tried to headbutt someone so scummy but I don't know how bad he was as he got very little in the way of delivery.
Busquets is looking increasingly less good without Xavi basically being brilliant in midfield to help defend there. Martinez/Koke/Fabregas midfield three would off a hell of a lot of strength, but with creativity and support getting forward.
