Rooney is **** in the middle. He thinks he's Pirlo/Fabregas/whoever, tries to pick out passes, and is utter garbage at it. He was hilarious against Bayern, not Bayern doing anything fancy just woeful passing from Rooney.

Sterling can run around players and pick out a pass with Sturridge.

Rooney is ALL power(or was) and when he's got the ball much deeper should be encouraged to run forward with the ball, which he is semi good it, he used to be VERY good at that when younger but hasn't done that for a long time. He'll ruin less attacks out wide.
