Always say, I don't care about reacting in the moment. If someone is attacking you I see it as almost self defence. When it's 2 minutes later, or someone punches you then backs away that is one thing. But Palacios trod on him, trod on him again and then the first contact from Pogba is Palacios dragging Pogba's foot while he's on the floor, at which point you might be able to call the right foot a kick out, good.
I've asked before and I don't think it is in the rules, but if someone is attempting to punch a player, actively throwing punches, the player being punched would get a red card for protecting himself and putting that player on the floor?
I'm glad Pogba didn't get sent off and would have been quite happy to see Palacios go and Pogba get nothing in the first incident. If Pogba went and kicked him 2 minutes later, that is entirely different though.
