wtf is Vickery doing, trying to pronounce the players names differently and just sounds retarded. Also saying basically nothing. Brazil don't want to play Chile, but they don't care who they face.

Because watching the game USA deserved it and were by far and away the most entertaining team...... I will always generally speaking prefer the team who entertains me better to win. With England... I felt like, meh, better football for the rest of the tournament then.

Loved the point where he'd forgot his train of thought, probably because due focusing too much on his pronunciation.

Sounded a bit like a kid's tv presenter. Very weird.

USA didn't deserve the draw, England as harsh as it is deserved to go out.

Compare and contrast Klinsmann with Hodgson - one when his team was down was getting behind them, on his feet urging them on almost a part of the team on the pitch, the other just sat there looked dispirited. People can go on about the lack of youth talent being produced blah blah but thats only a tiny part of why England lost.
 
Good entertaining game and a decent effort by the USA let down by their passing, Portugal were poor I can see Ghana winning and Germany winning by more. Though the Germans might want to play it safe and avoid injuries so USA have a chance.
 
Feel for the USA but you could see the Portugal goal coming (even if it was by far their best chance for the last 85 minutes)

Fabulous cross by Ronaldo who appeared to be practically invisible before that.

Its all down to the Germans whether they prefer the USA or Ghana (who could easily beat Portugal imo) to go through with them.

(edit - I have a feeling the Germans will go all out to hammer another team, after the slightly embarassing draw with Ghana)

Think US can pull off a draw against Germany. Both teams know that will work for each, unless Germany get a couple goal lead, they won't want to push too far forward in fear of conceding.
 
Gonna say Germany and Ghana will win their last games, and USA will go through on GD.

We've got some cracking final group games coming up with plenty to play for:
Mexico vs Croatia to go through
Holland vs Chile to win their group and avoid Brazil
Uruguay vs Italy to go through, though Italy only need a draw, so might not be
Portugal vs Ghana for a chance to qualify

Some juicy ties there!

Could only really be out of a few things, most likely is they got in a fight over a bad result after the game and like Ekotto, are dropped for the next game for their behaviour. The less likely but only other thing I can think of is some kind of drug issue, found out they were taking something and stopped them playing, or simple discipline breach like partying late before a game but I really can't see anyone being that stupid before a world cup game.


Funny how some teams suspend players themselves over terrible behaviour.... other teams defend their players or simply deny anything bad happened.

Boateng suspended because of "vulgar verbal insults targeted at coach Kwesi Appiah during the team’s training session" #GHA (3/3)

Will be interesting to see how Ghana play tonight!
