FIFA World Cup 2014 - Semi-finals [8th - 9th July] **spoilers**

Nope, he constantly knocks me, and the stats made it obvious. He consistently miss reads what I say(ignorance or on purpose I don't know) or just makes up things I never said to "prove me wrong".

Anyone with any ability to read has seen me talk about my (football)man crush on Muller. He's simply everything that is right about football. There are guys who score but are crap for the other 89 minutes of a game, there are guys who are brilliant for 89 minutes but don't score, and there is Muller... brilliant for 89 minutes and will score a hat trick of important goals or assists. Kids learning football should be forced to watch every game he's ever played, he's an advert for making the right decision 99% of the time and just being brilliant.

But according to Loki I say he's over rated.... sure.

Hmmm, surprised he said you thought Muller was overrated, you've been riding him this wc like no tomorrow whilst hating on kroos and ozil

I think this is a case of Brazil finally coming across a decent team in this world cup. They've got off relatively lightly until now.

They have gotten away with murder time after time and haven't played anyone good either.

A couple of rounds ago I had Germany thrashing Brazil but Germany went off the boil a bit so I thought it would be much tighter.

Had there ever been a 5 - 0 defeat this far in the tournament ie semi finals?

That isn't a bad question, probably one, crap teams do fluke there way to the semi finals... just look at Brazil and Argentina this year :p

It's always hard to tell in a game like this just how good the team winning are because Brazil really have been THAT bad. Muller has clearly been brilliant, but I don't think Ozil has done a lot and Klose has made more mistakes than gotten things right, lots of poor choices. Khedira surprisingly looks very good. He looks better bursting forwards to support attack than defensively for me. I think having Muller out wide and effectively the midfield able to follow him into attack rather than knocking it long to Muller and having the support 40 yards away unwilling to run. Khedira looked back to his best in that half which is nice to see, horrible injury and been no where near his best for the past 18 months or more.

Have to agree with this, Chile bottled it against them and they had the ref playing into their hands against Columbia by letting the wrestling match flow.

Wasn't expecting a thrashing like tonight though tbh.

Not surprised, he seems incapable of reading. I hadn't seen an awful lot of Muller before the last world cup and from the first 30 mins of watching him I was insanely impressed. Golden boot and he won it not because he outscored anyone but because he was joint top scorer AND joint top assister and obviously the highest assists out of the 5 goal scorers. He also scored most of them after the knock out stage. This was Klose's first goal at this stage of the competition with the majority coming I believe in group stage.

You know how I feel about "important" goals, just makes him even better. I like Klose a lot though, his touch isn't quite there and his interplay has dropped massively from the last world cup. Klose was great with Muller in 2010, their interplay and ability to bring each other and the rest of the team into an attack was epic. Muller is even better than he was, Klose a little down but even at his age his intelligence is helping the team(just not as much as it did).
